Do you think they will make them to help with the survivors background (much like the TF2 ones).Maybe Meet {survivors name here} maybe like in Video diary/ Cloverfield style like telling a story with like carnage in the background, or something...

That would be cool. If they put some humor and some of the characters personality in there too. Like Zoey would be all like Talking about her rich family and then some zombies come, she shoots them and says: "No, not my new shoes, this will never come off!"

That would kinda ruin the atmosphere and is totally lame...I Vote No

This was mentioned in a thread created today (http://www.left4dead411.com/forums/index.php?action=vthread&forum=2&topic=2708).
I'm not sure if it'd work with L4D, especially with humour.
Maybe a really dark and gritty flash back of their life before the outbreak and a few key survival moments (like their first encounter with an infected).

I always thought a good idea would them in the area of safety, (like under the care of the military) talking to an interviewer or something. It could shed some backstory and game info, while still letting it be a little bit humourous at times.

I would like to see that, it wouldn't really ruin the atmosphere if they don't put too many jokes or what ever like in Team Fortress 2

Flashbacks could work. and it could be a video of everyone working together co-operately and than cutting out to a short interview or maybe telling the watcher what their favorite weapon and showing off how they use it.

Yeah they will put out promo videos much similar to TF2. I would expect them this Summer at E3, etc.
<div class="quote">RPS: The Team Fortress 2 shorts are still coming?
Faliszek: Sure, and we'll do something like that for Left 4 Dead. We have a bunch of guys working on it. We're hooked on it. They're too funny. Speaking as someone who doesn't actually have to do that work, I'd say that they're totally hilarious. Yeah, I'm sure the team don't think so. It's a long slog to get the funny.

I would rather see a "Meet the Infected
Could be nice like The Boomer talking about how he got his big belly and then Francis comes and say "Holy Hell he,s fat!!!" Boomer: Yeah and i can show you what,s in it!! "Brææær"-(Vomiting) Good luck with the next 40 infected that will come at ya!!
sorry if it,s lame what i just wrote just thought of something referred to Frogopus suggestion:)
Yeah it would be fine, actually really cool, if it was more like a clip of their lives right as the infection breaks out. Their initial reactions and how they react to the chaos.

Maybe something like a Steve Irwin type person roaming around in a heavily infected enviroment "Aww crikey! Check out this things tongue, if it catches you with that alone, its game over for you." ect ect except less awkwardly spoken/written.

I love this idea. I want to see what happened before the infection, and the background of the characters, and the story of the boss infected.

Never having been in the situation I cant comment. But when your spending most of your time running for your life from crazed zombie like people an none of you have showered for days or weeks. Sex probably isn't something you even think about lol.
Anyway I think a humorous Meet the Survivor/Infected video would be bad an ruin the atmosphere of the game. They should keep the comedy in Team Fortress 2 where it belongs.

Oh yeah?
"If I make it to safety, I would totally tap that." Is probably what Francis is thinking.
But as we all know, Bill got first dibs because of Elders' Dibs Rights. Thats tension right there.

Apparently L4D has quite a bit of comedy in it through dialogue, it wouldn't be that out-of-place, just so long as it wasn't as comedic as TF2.

Elders' Dibs Rights
Every body knows about the international dibs protocall, that and the no take-backs acord.

You'd swear the youth of today need a reminder of their elder's place in society.
