What music do you like?

This hasn't showed up yet and I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone thinks.

My main band is The Aquabats, but I'm starting to get interested in the music of Tenacious D, I like rock in general, but I really don't care much for hip-hop and pop.

I'm mostly classic rock: Cheap Trick, AC/DC, Alice Cooper etc

I also listen to some select punk bands: Eagles of Death Metal, Reel Big Fish, The Living End.

I personally don't like mainstream music, this probably comes from the fact that I ride a bus to school and on that bus they might just happen to have a station that repeats the same mainstream music over and over, AND AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS IT GETS KIND OF ANNOYING, OKAY? MAYBE I DON'T WANT TO HEAR THE WORDS "CHILDREN OF THE SKY" FOR SEVENTEENBILLION, NINEHUNDREDMILLION, FIFTY THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED AND FIFTY SECOND TIME, OKAY?

Hmm, I saw the other thread before this one, although the other one is more specific.

I listen to anything as long as I enjoy it. I think it's easier to point out what I don't like rather than what I like. For one I'm not a fan of mainstream hip-hop although there are some artists like Jurassic 5 who I like. Same dislike for techno/electronica/house but again, I won't shitcan it completely if I hear something I like.

My favourite band would be Shihad, it's a local NZ band which changes it's genre so often I just call them &quot;Bogan Rock&quot;. (From first to last album the Shihad genre goes Industrial Metal, Thrash Metal, Pop Rock, Electronic/Hard Rock, Commercial Hard Rock, Punk/Metal/Hard Rock and back to Pop Rock.)

I also listen to a lot of solo acoustic guitarists. Andy McKee and Antoine Dufour are favourites of mine as are the more veteran players, (Tommy Emmanuel, Don Ross.) I spend a lot of time learning songs by these guys myself, (at least trying to.)

Oh also I dispise this Metal people seem to be into a lot lately, the speed crap. Sure it's kind of impressive playing but the music is schite.
