when someone leaves mid game then a bot takes over their spot. so then if someone else joins up and takes that bots spot what happens to their ammo/hp/ weapons/ # of downs etc.

so basically does a players (say louis) status remain throughout the campaign or does it reset when someone else joins? say i was on my final down, if i just reconnected would i still be on my third down with no hp or would i be reset back to full hp and lives?

cus its kind of a catch 22, if ure hp/lives etc. resets then what is to stop ppl from just reconnecting when they are about to die?

but if a players status carries on throughout the game then people wont be too happy to join a game and immediately be limping without any health or lives and find themselves a mile behind the group because the person who was playing as that character before them was a noob

everyone follow what i'm asking?

Most likely stay the same, there not stoopid enough to make it possible to just rejoin and get all your ammo and health back :) And people would then know joining a game half way through gives the risk of you "starting" with low HP and or ammo

I agree with toxictbag. I doubt they would reset all your ammo and Hp becuase That just takes al the fun out of the game plus the challenge. Like If i were about to die at the end of the map and in conesle type something like "retry" and reconnect then that would be just be no fun at all.

I think you gain all the health back, and they add some extra bullets (50?) that would be a good solution...

If health was restored from a reconnect or a new player, they might as well go ahead and give you a button that gives you full health whenever you would like. Too easily exploited. If you reconnect with low health, take it as a challenge and stick around for the next game.

Yes Exactly. No challenge, and ruins all the fun.

so... what can be a good solution? wait I know! The player will be FORCED to finish one level from the begining to the end!

How do you do that? The game threatening to send fake insults under his username?

No, I think you really have to put up with that.

I think it would be cool if when a player leaves, the bot immediately takes over, but if a player enters, he spawns in the 'closet area' with the same stats. Cause otherwise the player might enter while the AI is being pwnd by a horde of infected.

Ahh, thats prabably the best solution. Nice answer indeed =D

Good idea, but what if the closet area is very far behind the survivors, or the bot was doing something important, like making its way to knock off a hunter?

What if, when you enter a server, you're put into a spectator mode, and when you think you're ready to take over, press a button, and boom, you're in control.

When we work together, we can solve anything!
