Okay so its gonna be like if there's still a bullet in the chamber you just replace the magazine?
And using the pistol as an example after replacing the Mag when there's already a bullet there are 16 bullets inside the Gun?
How many bullets can you hold in reserve on the player?

Okay the Amount of bullets in each gun that I know of So far.

Pistol 15(+1)
Dual Pistols 30(+1,+2)
Uzi 50(+1)
Shotgun 7?,8?(+1)
M16 50(+1)
Auto-Shotgun 7?,8?(+1)
Sniper 15(+1)

and is the Sniper Semi-Automatic?
AND YES TOPIC HAS NOT BEEN MADE YET Sorry about my other one.

I'm really confuse about your question. The most common thing that happens in most FPS's is when you reload, you start with a fresh clip and the other bullet goes back into your ammo reserve. I usually don't manually reload since I like to be somewhat realistic.

-EDIT
And yes, the Ruger mini 14 (sniper) is semi-automatic.

i rember playng a game that got rid of the other bulets thats how games should me because some people (Like me) cant stop reloading XD

Why would you want to waste the bullets that you don't use?

more realistic its a pain to put bullets in clips so in a battle i cant imagine someone fumbling with 3 bulltes

No like you just put the half-or-so-used Magazine back into like a Bag, Backpack, Pocket, or Harness.

Uh, I think what killion's trying to ask is that if you reload a magazine and chamber the bullet, for example in a pistol, does the chambered bullet stay there if you reload again? For example, if I get a pistol, with no ammo in it whatsoever, and I load it and chamber a round, then I have 15 bullets in the gun, right? So then can I reload again so that I have one more bullet in the magazine, therefore having 16 bullets?

My answer is maybe. Because I don't know any other steam game except Insurgency that takes the chambered bullet into account, and I think that the extra animation time for the guns in L4D is just so it kind of rewards players who reload often, and makes it hard when you run out of ammo in the middle of a horde rush. I haven't seen any footage where the guns have more than the normal amount of ammo. So yeah.

I don't think this is the case with L4D.

The only game I've played that has this is MGS4, and maybe America's Army and the like.

Besides, if CS:S doesn't have it, and they aim to make the weapons and shooting similar to CS:S, then my best guess is no.

One bullet probably won't make the difference anyway.

I've made it a habit to reload after every exchange of gun-fire. Don't know how I did... but I never get an empty clip unless I'm completely out of ammo.

Same, I just never want to get caught unprepared.

Which is ironic because I usually die because I'm reloading at the time.

That's what secondary weapons and fast switch are for. And in Left 4 Dead, melee!

I can't tell how many times in games like CS:S or CoD4, when someone thinks I'm reloading and they end up dying from a pistol or knife.

It's more funny in CoD4, because you have a grenade launcher attachment. XD

That's the only bad part about the habit. Sometimes I think I'm about to kill someone, and suddenly habit takes over and I reload before I finish off his last bit of life. Pisses me off because then he can just charge me and melee/stab/buckshot-to-the-face me.

In some games, you can't do anything weapon-wise while reloading until its done. And in others, I have no excuse and I just suck at most competitive FPS.

Thats happened to me once or twice, but I usually reload after I kill someone, even if there are others around.

Yeah... like when I used to play Halo online, I would find myself actually knowing how many shots it took to kill someone with every weapon. And sometimes I would miss-count causing me to reload at bad times.

well in a pistol it works if you dont pull the slide back then reload when you have a round chambered this would give you your rounds in the mag and 1 in the chamber.
:A shotgun you would have to load 1 shell then pump once then load the 6-8 shells depends on the shotgun then you would have 1 shell chambered and the tube will be full.
:The SMG/Rifle would work the same way if you have 1 round chambered all you would have to do it put in a new mag and not have to chamber a round
so if you have 1 round/shell in a gun you dont have to chamber a round this saves reloading time

What he was trying to say: There are 15 Bullets in the Mag. for the Pistole. Now, if you reload the gun, while there are a Bullet in the chamber, would you then get the total amount of 16 bullets? 1 In the chamber, and 15 in the Mag.

It's like this for every weapon in Crysis.

Just Watch 1 of the more recent videos, And if when some 1 reloads. It should be 50 bullet clip, so pause and try to tell if you see 50 or 51.

At 1 minute u ll see him reload with ammo in the clip. The chamberd bullet doesn't count because after he reloaded he was back to 50 again.

i reload alot like if i only use like 2 bullets i reload (not in a fight of coarse) but i think left 4 dead might make the reload button obsolete cause your going to use your whole clip and then automatic reload when you want to shoot again

Shotgun 7?,8?(+1)
Auto-Shotgun 7?,8?(+1)
the auto shotty has 9 :O yea nine, i think its a little too flashy but if you reload a shotty, you wouldnt have a spare bullet in the chamber, so its

shotgun 8
auto-shotgun 9

oh and also, i dont wanna make an entire thread about this so ill ask it here, where does it show you how many times you have gone down or how many times your buddies went down? cause I cant see it on the hud in any of the GT trailers :P

I think that's supposed to be in the merit/demerit system. But they took out of lot of things at the moment. I hope they make it back to there original way. As of now it shows things like. Ur 5 star rank. What you got ranked ( like in rock band) stuff like that. Non of the cool stuff like how many zombies uve killed, or How many times you shot a teammate. All that good stuff.

killion237

At the end of a Map or you get to a checkpoint and the Merit/Demerit Screen comes up.

Jesus123

Merit/Demerit system would work the best if they showed it at the VERY end of a scenario while each map would show how well you preformed with a 1-5 star ranking :D

i have a very obvious question that a lot of people have, but don't ask.

can you zoom in with the sniper? i mean if there is a sniper why would there be no zoom, pointless? you need to kill some hard to reach or (unaware) faraway zombies for god sakes!!

ALSO CHECK OUT MY CUSTOM L4D XBOX 360 GAME CASE!http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/394/case1pg6.th.png[/img] (http://img518.imageshack.us/my.php?image=case1pg6.png)]i think it looks nice but i only have paint so good for paint :)
