This game will be the game that never dies... Hell, even without the constant updates, the gameplay is pretty much never the same thanks to the AI director, and then come the updates... It starts simple, gets better, THEN TO THE POINT OF WORLD FUCKING DOMINATION!!!!! >=D

In every game the A.I. follow a certain pattern so when you play it so often you know where the infected are MOST LIKELY to show up due to how good you are and if you yourself follow a certain pattern.

If you look at VALVe's track record with multiplayer games...who can honestly even care about what comes after L4D? People are still playing CS 1.6 religiously. I've co-owned a very successful CS:S "24/7 *map" community for almost two years now, and we've come from a long line of "24/7 *map" communities...and the maps are still widely played in themselves. Taking that into consideration, as well as all the rotation servers, custom map servers, and thousands of private servers out there, the game is still freaking huge.

The demand is there for VALVe's games because they make sincere quality, especially when it comes to replayability. I've played CS:S for years, and have only just recently started to become 'bored' of it, and only for the anticipation for L4D. The game will stand on it's own, and it will stand the test of time, the same as all of VALVe's games.

So, honestly...who could possibly care less about "the game after..."?
