Something does seem to be going on, the Infected have always got the short end of the stick when it comes to the media released but its been eerily quiet lately and nothing new has been seen in quite awhile.

I honestly think something is up but I'm sure they will sort it out.

Valve has quite certainly finished making basically all the gameplay that will be in the initial release at this point...they're just in the choosing which set of game mechanics to use, and polishing all around phase of pre-release work.

They are remaking the infected models, and the boss Infected models. Thats why we have not seen any of it for a while. + That it has been removed from the campaign mode, and made a mode by itself. Versus.

Well, one thing i generally dont like in games, is when in pre-release they reveal EVERYTHING that a game will contain. Like valves got to want to throw some suprises at us, right? Like, for instance, if u are a halo fan, we had NO clue we'd be playing as the arbiter for half the game, and hed be a major character in the story arc! Bungie hid all footage of arbiter gameplay. Just wait and see.

What does it matter, it's probably completely revamped and at least twice as fun to play as before. They've already confirmed it exists in the game, so why is everyone getting their panties in a bunch.

This matter a lot! just compare zombiemod servers vs zombie horde servers, it's about 10/1 and so all the zm players will be bored playing L4D after several days or weeks like myself. Sorry to say but as long time fps zombie player, shooting npc's gets old and tiresome, I'd rather play against humans knowing they can actually think and adjust to my gameplay trickery in infected mode..

CSS Zombiemod, Zombiehorde, Zombiehell, Zombiemaster, Zombiepanic
and many others for 1.6 and source

From my experience to avoid this type of nonstop zombie killing boredom is to amp it up, in a fun way... with vehicles to L4D in campaign modes before release or after, It would make a big difference and completely open up new fun game modes. (That's what I recommend to Valve)

It's another one of their big changes... I see this coming sometime soon.

i have a feeling that playing as infected must be shit, because they switched game modes so you cant play them in the campain and we dont see any footage.
