The only reason people feel that Valve "shat" on the 360 version of the Orange Box, is because they keep looking at and comparing it to the PC version, which makes absolutely no sense at times. PC people get stuff a) for free and b) as soon as it's ready, so why can't console people as well? Because, ...

a) on the 360 DLC has a price tag and on the PC it has not, and...
b) on the 360 constant updates are frowned upon (by the user, because it costs time and is seen as unnecessary as well as by the publisher and Microsoft, because it costs bandwidth) and on the PC they are welcomed.

So, I ask you, looking at these simple facts, why is it so hard to accept that they are going to wait until they can roll out all the updates together and sell you the TF2 Unlocks and Achievements - Pack?

Back to the topic at hand. Will they be employing the same policy when it comes to updates/content for Left 4 Dead on the 360? Yes, I think they will. It only makes sense.

If Valve really wants to release new content on the 360 they will. It has already been stated that new content will be an essential part of this game post release, yes the 360 included. Will we get all the cool maps, weapon skins, player skins, new bosses etc, etc? Most likely, NO. It's all up to Valve.
Will we be tossed scraps? We can only hope.

My problem with Team Fortress 2 on the 360 is it had a terrible, under cared for online component... and considering the game was an online only game, thats a bad thing. It was frustrating trying to find and enter a server, and there was never a time in which I was able to get into a game without having intense lag, and ended up getting kicked from aforementioned server. Everyone I know who played it on 360 had similar problems, which to me shows Valve did actually drop the ball on that one, as it is there duty to make a clean, capable online experience.

Perhaps they weren't used to X-Box live's structure at that time, I don't know. Perhaps they knew either way it would make serious bank, so they put minimal effort into giving TF2 the attention it needed on the 360, because people might look over it, as there was in fact, 4 other games on the disc. Maybe even the pressure of releasing the two versions at the same time caused some sacrifices to be carried out, and in this case, the multiplayer was essentially, left for dead.

If there was a game that needed updates and tune ups to its system, it was TF2, and sadly was not given to the 360 owners. Things like the weapons and class upgrades and whatnot didn't bother me. All I wanted was a stable running game and most certainly was not given that, and if a patch or an update was released that would stop my game from becoming an unplayable disaster, its too late, as I've lost interest in TF2 (the game. I still love the class videos) already.

I do have high hopes for Left 4 Dead, though. This one doesn't have 4 other games to fall back on, so if the online is terrible, it certainly will be noticed fast and it certainly will have a negative effect on Valve's future endeavors.

Do you even own a 360 because loads of games get multiple updates weekly and no 360 owner I know dislikes it when the game is made better through an update. BTW, anyone who says that its microsoft fault just loves valve too much to see the truth. Valve could release the weapons and maps about a week after they're released on PC. Its not microsofts fault that valve decided to put it all in one package and make 360 players wait up to 8 months until PC players get all of the weapons and maps. By then, practically nobody will be playing TF2 on the 360.

I found halo and even COD unplayable after I bought the OB.

Frankly I'm surpised (and a little annoyed) with the fact that Valve is even releasing a version of L4D for the 360. This game was built for PC, like every other Valve game, and the 360 version just won't measure up.

I've always been an avid PC gamer, even before I knew what a graphics card or a processor was. (My dad set up lan games of avp, army men, quake, so on). I recently (last oct) spent quite a bit of money to buy individual parts to put together to build a gaming BEAST. I have a passion for gaming and there are a lot of 360 exclusive games that I took interest in. So I gave in and bought a 360 a few months ago and I don't regret it at all. I'm everything but a fanyboy; I think it's funny watching people argue over consoles. The only thing that bothers me about the 360 is XBL and all the fucking moronic dumbasses with mics. PC gamers and 360 gamers are so different. I really could go on but this is already irrelevant and dragging on for too long.
