I believe that some visible damage appears on the models, but I could be wrong. Also, just so you know, after a period or any other punctuation mark, use a space (see how I do it).

It's something that would be nice to have, but I think the health bars do that just fine right now. Besides, in the heat of battle I'm more inclined to look at the HP meters, not study my companions for new scratches.

Right, as stated above you can see your teammates' exact health at any time. Besides the changed animation and the slower movement speed (limping), the character's facial expressions will change accordingly as well.

it would be nice to have, but i've seen no hint of it in videos, though it's hard to notice in the low quality footage i've seen. the models are being worked on and this could be added though.

with that logic, a lot of things could be removed from games. it's called eye candy. it is kind of getting played out in games for people to show no physical damage even though they're been slashed hundreds of times by (insert something here).

Yeah, but there's eye candy you're likely to notice and admire.. and stuff you probably won't.

I'll be watching my teammates, of course, but I'm probably not going to care about, or notice scratches and stuff in the heat of the action. Visible damage and stuff would be great for a single player experience where you can take your time and admire the game world, but in online games like this it's usually a little too fast-paced for that kind of thing.

maybe, but this game really isn't like most multiplayer games. it's going for a single player feeling, and on top of that, a movie like feeling. you know those movies where there's a shitload of action and it dies down a bit, only for some dramatic music to play as "that one guy" realizes there's a bullet in his chest? i'd like to see that put into play in this game. those long, silent stretches after a gruesome finale and then you notice zoey's eyeball is being dragged around under your shoe. pure win.

Different animations tell what state your friends are in, and a while ago... They used to show blood all over the survivors, don't know if there's any more to that, like scratches and bruises... And we also haven't seen it in a while.

Also things they say.

I remember in one video when the person was being mauled by a Hunter blood and gibs and all that was being thrown everywhere and on both the Hunter and the character.

Then when the character was saved and got up, they were almost spotless, it was hugely obvious, I hoped they've fixed that ^.^.

The game is being polished as I post this. I'm sure all large hands, lack of beards, dynamic appearances from battles, cheesy fire and the whole bit will be just fine when the game is released.

I mean, they ruined/changed the old characters. But have since brought back Bill's beard and smoke, gave Francis a heavier goatee, so far kept Zoey's better looking head and well Louis still looks like a chump, but I have faith in what Valve South will end up doing in all aspects of the game. Keep the faith people.

Dang, thats actually kinda sucky that you slow down. Then human controlled zombie bosses can easily pick off the weakest people in the group. Here's another scenario, 1 teammate is being mauled inside a hallway room by a hunter and there's a smoker strangling another survivor inside that room so what if a tank just guards and throw debri down the hallway to stop any rescue attempt? Or is there a cooldown?

Then the undead team seems to have their stuff together being that well planned, most times I'm sure each player will just be rushing the survivors. Which actually gives the survivors team an edge as far as difficulty goes. Because most times I will assume that they will be sticking together, but who knows. There will always be that one player on each team that fucks it up for the rest.

EDIT: 1st time I play the movie mode/campaign I'm staying in a building, hunkering down and seeing how long I can last. With bots of coarse. SORRY FOR GETTING OFF TOPIC :)
