Even though I never watched this in like the past 3 years, I feel saddened because every night my brothers and I use to gather around the TV and watch some Dragon Ball and plenty of other shows they had. Toonami was a nice part of my childhood.

Wow, I remember growing up with Toonami. Coming home from school, watching DBZ, Yu Yu Hakushow, and that show about the samurai with red hair.
Coming home one day, I remember seeing toonami not on. I asked a friend and he said that they canceled it (Or moved it to Saturdays only). Ouch.
Tom was pretty cool. Not only was Toonami cool, but the actual commercials were too. I remember his ship came under attack and there was a game on the website where enough people had to win to save Tom and his ship. No one took this seriously because people knew that he would be saved in the end. However at the end of the broadcast, he and his ship got eaten. HARDCORE!! He then came back later in a new form and ship. Tom changed forms like 4-5 times, but I never kept up with it because I stopped watching Saturday only Toonami.
And what are they going to fill it with? More Skunk Fu? Out of Jimmy's (Ass) Head?
Well, there goes a piece of my childhood.
See you Space Cowboy

I use to hate Toonami...but once i got use to it i began to like it. Really, 11 years? I was 3 when it was made! Wow...i remeber my bro watching it sometimes...i stoped watching it in 2004 or 2003. I guesse i saw the last of it last night or 2 nights ago because it had the toonami guy and he said good bye or something.

Yeah I was in Middle School when Toonami first came out. At the time I think it was that Space Ghost villian that hosted it and the Lineup was Thundercats, Robotech, Dragonball Z, an maybe Tenchi Muyo I don't remember. That lineup was win lol. They also had Transformers Beast Wars and Big O at some point. They picked really good shows at the time. It sucks if they are finally getting rid of it but ratings probably fell due to them not getting good shows on anymore.
Is adult swim still on? They had some good one's too like Trigun and Cowboy Bebop. I wonder if perhaps the Internet could be hurting it too people probably just watch the whole anime series online now.

IF you dont get it then read this: At the conclusion of the final broadcast of Cartoon Network's long-standing Toonami block, the host character TOM (who'd been voiced by Steven Blum, the American voice actor for Spike Spiegel) uttered "Bang!" right before the broadcast signed off for the final time. "Bang!" was also the final line spoken by Spike just before dying in the final episode of Cowboy Bebop.

I was raised on Cartoon Network. I used to watch "Wacky Races" marathons with my older brother, Jetsons on Tuesday (why else? 'cause we love them - it's Jetsons on tuesday nights!), Thundar the Barbian, etc. When I was 11 years old, I started watching Toonami. Everyday after school, I rushed home to watch Toonami. When I broke my leg in 7th grade football, I remember waking up in the Hospital to Goku going SSJ for the first time. When I returned home from the hospital, I feel asleep everynight to DBZ and Gundum Wing in the Toonami midnight run. I can go on and on about my love for Toonami and what it has meant to me over these years. If it were not for Toonami, I would never have gotten into anime.
I am now 22 years old and have watched Toonami for the last 11 years. Toonami and Adult Swim are probably the greatest things to have happened to American Television in the last two decades. It has been a shame to watch Toonami be killed off over the last 4 years (when Miguzi kicked it off the weekday spot). This is a sad, sad time in the history of Cartoon Network. Everything that I have grown up with and loved since I started watching TV is now gone, with only Adult Swim remaining (which I have a hard time watching b/c it comes on so late here in Washington as opposed to an hour earlier back home in Texas). I have no doubt that ratings have tanked for Toonami over the last 4 years. However, I'm not sure how they can expect to have strong ratings by sticking a lineup in a time slot where most of the core audience is probably not at home watching TV.
If CN is not able to bring back the greatness of Toonami, I feel that Toonami and Adult Swim should spinoff their own station similar to Boomerang. I can dream, can't I?
If any of you are STEAM users, please join the "Bring Back Toonami" group - http://steamcommunity.com/groups/bring_back_toonam i (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/bring_back_toonami) . I realize it is unlikely that anything we say or do will make a difference, but I know that I at least tried.

Adult Swim is lame now, since Futurama was taken by Comedy Central.
The only two animes I really got into were Case Closed and Lupin the Thrid, but I'm probably alone on that, since both were taken off the air a long time ago. And I REALLY loved Case Closed, sadly the dvds are way to expensive for me to purchase. Apparently there is like 500 Billion Episodes in Japan, and only 80 of those made the jump.
However, maybe I'll try to watch Cowboy Bebop...maybe.
I never really watched Toonami, wich makes me one of the few. EDIT Ok maybe that's a lie, I thought One Piece was stupid at first, but it was actually pretty damn good.

Yeah. I wish they would have closed it off. He never did beat Aku. It's kind of sad that they never got to finish that show, because it really was amazing. I mean, it was basically animated art. The art style was so unique at the time, and the storyline was told in such a silent way (some episodes contained no dialogue whatsoever) that it really was a work of art.
