The only rule is:
The first and last letter of the word must remain the same.
And for some reason, reading one individual word at a time doesn't work as well as reading them in a sentence.

Thats how speed reading works :)
But sometimes it leads to miss reading is the the word has the same first and last letters and similar letters inbeetween :)
