Story One
Above The Law
Chapter 1
A street growing with the hordes of undead came marching towards this rushed barricade of cars and dumpsters. This savage uncompromising unstoppable wave of death staggering closer towards these confused unprepared police officers...Ten of them fighting of what seems to be the city plunged into hell...What's only been hours and the sun only just set seems like forever to these few survivors.

Thoughts raced through they're minds of how bleak their hopes and dreams looked now with this wave
of death coming ever towards them. As the last cop stood up out of his car he stared at what was coming. The Moans were all that could be heard. And the smell of blood and rotting flesh was getting to everyone, His head felt hazy from this sudden ghastly sight but he had to shake it off. "Mark snap out of it man!" yelled Richard, his partner who left the car and grabbed some guns from the back before Mark could even close his door. Mark looked to his side a little, but barely to see his shoulder. His eyes fixated on the monsters getting closer and closer.

Richard slammed the boot shut and walked to the side of Mark with a spare shotgun and slapped it into his hands."Hey Mark come on we have to do this,"Mark gripped the gun hard and looked down at it, he'd held a gun before, he even won the marksman contest at his precinct but a gun never felt this cold before he didn't know what to think at the time. He'd never shot a person before, but he'd seen these things eat people alive only a half an hour ago.

He could have saved that child. If only he had the courage to shoot then...."Monsters...." he muttered under his breath. He took a deep breath and took his stance and cocked the shotgun loading the first shell into the
barrel. Richard stood and watched as Mark's face turned focused, That prize winning look of a professional shooter.

Richard walked back around the car looking at the street behind their barricade and saw wrecked cars and bodies on the floor and people escaping into buildings hiding. He walked around to the right side of the car to be brought back to this endless army of the dead getting very close now. He opened up his side door and rolled down the window placing his shotgun on the seat and bringing up his MP5 submachine gun from under his sling resting it on the window while crouching...

... They were practically feet away, and the police started firing.Chunks of flesh flew and blood blotches started staining everything. Mark took a shot sending one of them flying backwards. Cocking the gun wasting no time he shot the nearest one coming right at him, The zombie swung his arm forward leaning to the side and the blast punctured right through his arm sweeping into its neck dismembering it's head. The cadaver fell to the floor as blood gushed all over the police car and Mark's window.

Richard suddenly stood up and took out a few creatures with a neat burst of bullets and took the time to roll up his window quickly. As Mark and Richard held off the left side things were not looking so well to the right. The monsters were climbing the bonnet of the cop car and fell onto an officer with a shotgun blast to it's side, It wasn't dead and started tearing the cop's face tearing into his eyes and eating off his cheeks and nose. The cop could barely see, He was screaming and trying all he could to push his gun up into the creature and pop off a few rounds into it's hip. The monster fell off to the side and the cop held his face as it bled everywhere. He crawled towards his door and leaned against it to become a barricade. Wiping away what blood he could he glimpsed the zombie getting back up and squeezed the trigger blowing its head apart.

He rested his gun and felt the cringing stinging of his face and the warm blood turning cold on his skin. Another zombie punched through the glass which pierced his face even more as shards stuck inside his mouth and eyes and where his nose used to be. A hand grabbed him pushing all the shards in even more. His pain was unspeakable. He felt so much pain but wasn't dying fast enough. He tried pulling up his gun to shoot himself but it wasn't working. The screaming would not stop.

Suddenly....

"BAM.......BAM," The zombie fell backwards and the cops head shattered. Another officer was standing there with a frown and tears on his face. He'd just killed his best friend he thought. He looked up and gasped for some air. He'd just lost his will to do anything else and ran away. Things were looking pretty bad the zombies had killed a bunch of cops and breached the barricade. Richard tried to get into the car but as he grabbed the shotgun on the seat a zombie punched the door shut and was about to
lunge at him however Mark shot his last shell into the zombie cartwheeling him over the over cop car. "Leave the car we have to run!" ordered Mark. Richard ran backwards firing the rest of his machine gun clip and Mark put the shotgun in his left hand and whipped out the pistol.

A S.W.A.T van showed up at the end of the street. The driver looked at the barricade and saw the cops running towards him. He leaned out of the window with a gesture and Mark and Richard opened the back then climbed in. The truck pulled away and as Mark grabbed the doors he saw the horde was now running for them. He shut them quickly and sat back down. Richard noticed only they were in the back. He edged along the seat as the van was driving crazily, he reached out to open the speaker hole to talk to the driver....

Richard took a look at the S.W.A.T member "Hey what's your name? Where's your team?"
The member replied "My name's Kenneth Salvatore, and my team ain't my team no more..." Richard sighed with " I see...any idea where your driving? Kenneth began to explain about a radio transmission he received from the police station's chief. The army is having trouble building defenses and roping off the city with the monsters already at it's borders on all sides. However some roads still lead out of the city and Kenneth knew which one would be open so he started driving there.Richard glanced at Mark for a second and looked back into the speaker hole."What did the chief say about the exits? Are we meant to meet up and hold it off until the army arrive?" Kenneth sat silently and replied "You can do that if you want but I'm getting the hell out of this city while i still can, we can't help the people here anymore, everyone's dead," Mark looked up from off the floor and moved to the speaker hole."Your right, everything has gone to shit. But do you think we can hide if this thing leaves the city?" Kenneth snapped with "And what if it ain't just this city huh? What would we defending?" Richard then said bluntly, "If the world's already in this shit then where do you plan to go? We should at least hold until it gets too much or when the army arrives it can't take too long," Kenneth sat quietly and still as a bridge was in sight packed with cars abandoned blocking the entire thing.

He stopped the van as they closed in on it. Richard stood up and walked to the back. opening the door,"Well Ken looks like your gonna have a lot of walking to do or you can help us get through this shit," Mark followed out of the van and Kenneth looked in his rear view mirror leaning back on his chair with his hands rested on the steering wheel. Richard took a few steps looking left and right while Mark checked his shotgun for any ammo left but there was none. Hey that's that place we needed to do a shit load of paper work on ain't it? The one with weapon smugglers right Mark?" Mark replied simply with a shrug,"How do you remember stuff like that, wasn't it like two years ago? What makes you think the guns would be in there? And without a gang guarding it?" Richard started walking backwards towards it in a cocky manner throwing his shotgun to Mark, "Think some punk kids are gonna hold up here when the city went to shit? With all these cop cars
going around they would of left the guns and run these guys do have some IQ, come on let's go check it out,"

The S.W.A.T van door opened and Kenneth stood out of of it removing his balaclava. He reached into his van to pick up his MP5 and some clips, he chucked one to Richard and explained "Look I'll help you set up some stuff then maybe I'll hang around ok? I'm still thinking. Richard patted him on the shoulder and walked to the house with Mark he yelled on the way in, "Hey you already have decided!"
Kenneth smirked and took a glance down the street to see it empty, and no moans could be heard echoing. He looked up the building as he started walking in....

Meh... I'll try to be constructive.

With zombie stuff, you can't really have a balance. You either have to be very fucking descriptive or be very fast and to the point. Stick to either one. Yours kinda fell in and out, and I couldn't really get into it because it was first very descriptive, then very bland, then very descriptive, then fast, then bland... You get the picture. So next time try to be either fast or descriptive. Otherwise it ruins the pacing of the events. Also, try to improve your grammar. For that, find the thread "my fan fic thing." It'll help you out a lot. Written by me.
