Hey guys, registered at the forums after a couple months of trolling; your most envious trip to Valve got me to type. Congrats on that visit, by the by, aside from being obviously awesome I think it gives a lot of us fan boys hope to see that devs notice and give props to independent fan sites(even if this is kinda the only one =P). I've gotta say that this game is probably one of the most interestingly marketed pc games I've seen in a while.....SO many people are bitching about lack of media content and no set release date, but within two months at least three review sites have had full playable access to the game (You guys, IGN, and FiringSquad, right?). This tells me that maybe all they have to do are a shitload of maps and polish, perhaps....but it doesnt matter, I just dont want another Stalker to come out...a game that feels pressured to be released because of a street date they set, and crap gets left out.
Well anyhow, I just wanna know are you guys open to answering questions not yet talked about in your guide(ie. custom content, map creation, skins, etc), or should we just wait?
And about how many different infected skins did you guys come across? Did TRS indicate that they are still creating models or give a number of different infected skins in the game?(Like they said 1000s of lines of audio, which is awesome....this also indicates that the game should be close to release, you record stuff like that after all the hard stuff's done, right?)
This may seem petty, but how are the characters selected, is there a random option so no one will bitch? And I know this ties into the first question, but will there be anything to prevent someone creating a bunch of jackass skins...I dont wanna start at the top of that apartment building with Boba Fett, Gordon Freeman, and Cobra Commander....it would lessen the game a bit, I think, to be fighting zombies alongside some fool with a Count Chocula skin...
Well....I think I'll take a breath....looks like my first post became a rant....sorry =P Again guys, congrats, you lucky bastards.

Hey MarxismIsOk (hah), glad you enjoyed the preview.

As much as I want media content (and I know that once they release gameplay videos people are going to explode at the awesomeness), I am really glad that they haven't set a release date and aren't pressured or anything. They're really just making it as good as they possibly can, and so far it has paid off!

Whatever we learned about modding will be in the second part.

A comment I had made while we were there was how different all the zombies look. There's no way I could have possibly counted them all, but not once did I notice one that looked the same (either because there's so many or because I was too busy shooting!). There were all different kinds with all different clothes, one of the cool things I noticed was how in the actual hospital building the zombies were dressed up in patient clothes! Very cool.

Character selection is random, because having a choice would just be an illusion (with each spot having to be filled).
