Well, I've got kind of a question...

in the german xbox 360-version you will have green blood an no helpless enemys sitting around...

well the witch is actually sitting around an waiting to be shot ;) she is not helpless at all, BUT is no real thread to the player as long as he doesn't shoot her / blind her with his flashlight... so you are able to attack someone, who is no thread to you, which is the point about the censorship of this aspect of the game I think...

Will the witch be like in the uncensored version?
or will she attack instantly to give you a reason to shoot her?

I don't think anybody can convince anybody that the witch is helpless.....I think she'll be unchanged.

But I really feel sad for those germans.

I'm guessing the Witch will be portrayed differently...such as growling insanely or something.

Actually, Mike Booth said in an interview that it DID count as a helpless person, and it needed to be changed. Now when the reticule is aimed at the witch, your weapon will now fire a dozen roses, and the witch may either be so flattered she goes to sleep on the floor caressing them, or she may attempt to give you a bear hug. Only way to flatter her is to give her more roses.

Even if you are 18 it still censored. Its like they think 18-year-olds are old enough to see this stuff, but at the same time they think it should be left out because kids might see it :|

Yeah, I just don't understand laws like that. Here in Alberta, stores are no longer even to show cigarettes anymore, they're covered up. How the hell is that going to make any sense? Kids will see the cigarette package and decide that they're going to start smoking?

I'm just glad I don't live in Germany, watering down a game like this would be a shame. I'm still curious as to the witch question though, as she is probably the most helpless enemy you'll find in the game.

yea war guilt i think... idiots. why punish there people for somthing they did? its not like the new generation had anything to do with it and more importantly , why censor a game? its not real...... its fake and is there to be enjoyed , but oh no the government gets involved yet again , you can guarantee that the german government is actually playing it going "this is awsome , but lets censor it for the fun of it" it makes me mad.

sorry for the ranting but its bloody pathetic and stupid , they also banned other amazing titles , i think they have gone over the top.

P.S. i like germany , its a good place , but due to its shitty law i would not move there.

i agree their WW2 guilt is just taken way out of proportion we are human humans suck and bad sh*t happens all the time but the current generation had nothing to do with the holocaust they need to just get over it


its just like slavery here in america some white families are still feeling guilt but its been hundreds of years LET IT GO and move on

I don't know what they changed, but they posibly did something. but you could still buy it normally!

the point is: in germany they actually can "ban" games, there are two posibilities:
there is an index. games a that index are not allowed to be advertised or shown in public. they are allowed to be sold 18+, but you wont find them in any supermarket.
other games can be forbidden (like manhunt, games where your only goal is to kill people in a brutal/humiliating manner), they are not allowed to be sold at all!
