I wonder if it's real or not. Those hands look pretty fake. However, I'm betting that is the extent of what you can do as infected, otherwise the guy woulda posted some more screenshots. But you never know...

Right now, this does require cheats to be on.

I've been doing "ent_fire !self setteam 3" to get to the infected team. It should allow you to spawn anywhere once the game starts, but if not, just use z_spawn like below.

Automatic respawning doesn't seem to work, but you can respawn a dead infected as anything you want with
z_spawn tank
z_spawn boomer
z_spawn smoker
z_spawn hunter

There might be a better way to get this working. There are a few different entites for survivors and infected, but nothing that I've tried seems to actually change the game mode.
There are also a lot of undocumented console commands, such as "respawn_all" which respawns all dead survivors (and lets you play with more than 4 Wink), "smoke" which makes you shit out smoke, "boom" which makes you shit out a grenade, and "dance" which makes you dance (as a zombie), just to name a few. There might be something in there that could help make this work properly.

edit: i'm not sure about playing as the infected in the demo but from watching some of the full game gameplay videos that is how the infected spawn screen looks

The thing is, you have to do it in singleplayer, and so the bots don't do anything by themselves. So. Any servers with cheats enabled?

This definitely works. I've tried it on dedicated servers with cheat enabled and on LAN games. Some more commands:

Yes, as long as the server has cheats enabled. But don't switch back and forth, as you'll create duplicate survivors.

ya it works but be careful because as they said earlier if you switch back and forth you can create duplicates. see screen for proof of both.

Nope, you can't jump off walls as far as I can tell.

Also, just use ghost to spawn. If you do it that way you will spawn as you should, and not to clsoe to the survivors.

Okay, here is how to do it in one post:

1)Enable the console
2) Either:
a)Start a single player game
b)Join a dedicated server with cheats enabled
c)Start a LAN game
3)Open up the console and type "sv_cheats 1", and then "director_force_versus_start 1". The first will enable cheats, the second will make the survivors controlled by the AI. Otherwise, they will just sit in the safe room.
4)Type "ent_fire !self setteam 3" - this will set you to the infected side. Give it a minute.
5)To spawn, open the console and type "ghost"
6)If you want to change what zombie you are, before spawning, move to the location you would like, and the type "z_spawn bossname", replacing bossname with your desired boss.
7)Enjoy!

Yes, you can jump off walls as the hunter. I was doing that for fun and was able to wall jump up to the roof in the narrow alley.

For the hunter, you crouch and then left click to pounce and pin someone, but you can just left click repeatedly to pounce around (but I'm assuming you can't pin anyone). To wall jump, you have to be mid air, against the wall, and facing away from the wall. When you hit the wall mid air, you pounce meter will suddenly be full and you can left click and pounce again. I can try and make a video if you want...

enter this in the Console: sv_cheats 1 -> ent_fire !self setteam 3 -> ghost OR z_spawn <desired class>

sv_cheats enables cheats

ent_fire !self setteam sets your team

ghost lets you spawn in as infected

z_spawn <bossname> spawns boss of your choice

Alright, just got finished testing this with another player (Oblivion165) We both were able to access the infected side, the only downside is that 1 player must always be the survivors, I played as each class and had a blast though my personal favorite is the hunter.
Yes the ability to jump and attack people from far distances is wicked awesome, I did find 1 climbing spot but still couldn't figure out how to climb everywhere else.
When you play the demo with this kinda of cheat going on, make sure after you die you set spectate to free look so that you can wander to safety and respawn as what character you like, also you can respawn other infected with you, just dont over do it. I spawned two Tanks and Two witches at the same time. Instant kills, and if you are really worried about dieing on the survivor side, especially if its only 1 player make sure you type in &quot;noclip&quot; into the console.

You can also choose your spawnposition by typing: spec_allowroaming 1 which will give you the free look mode. This way you can spawn on rooftops etc.

EDIT: And ofc, if you want to play against a full bot team, which plays like a normal team, you can type sb_ something. Can't remember the complete command, but it was just the next from sb_add... It might have been sb_all_bot_team 1

and to wall jump you jump into a wall, turn around and jump again.
you have to do it pretty quick though.
