thats why it was funny to see it on l4d.

and mr king u dont need to be disrespect full.

iv seen these on css and othor games but it makes no sence to have it on L4D because the only way to get there is to noclip or free spec mode.

yeah... its called a skybox... its what makes the sky details around the edge of the map...

The map is actually rendered INSIDE the small box... kinda.... actually more like from the cameras view inside the box... eh... hard to explain.

makes more sense if you have someone noclip to it and you wait on the roof looking at the sky.

Yup, if you want to see how it affects the env just noclip out there and spawn some zombies (z_add)

You would have to noclip (pc) and find where they put the skybox, in this case a little ways under the map.

In Gmod, some guys spawned a couple of Striders in the GM_Construct skybox, or the little city. When you came back to the Map, you see a 150 Foot Strider.. or a 20m Mouth of a Zombie, just awesome!

This was in CS too. When I died, I flew under the map and saw a mini city.

Valve actually made the internet, because they needed something to host their 3D skyboxes.
