Nothing fancy right now, needed to lower the lightmapscale because of a crash in Hammer which means uglier light/shadows, also removed all models since they showed up as big Error models.

As for now, the "movie" will be placed underground. The survivors found an elevator which lead to this underground facility, the elevator will be the starting area.

I've been doing a few mapprojects but I've never finished anyone of them which really sucks, guess it's thanks to lack of inspiration so if anyone got any ideas feel free to tell them.

I'll try to update this thread as soon as I've done changes.

Looks like a classic "Wierd-creepy-some-crazy-experiment-went-wrong-her e-and-created-this-strange-virus-that-made-people- go-crazy-and-filled-with-rage" kinda place, maybe this can be one of those ? You end up on the last chapter in some kind of lab or so where you can get some answers? :>

Yepp, that's the main idea, something like you get the cure and need to get out with it, which ofcourse will trigger the final event. But since I don't got so much experience on doing models it will be a pain in the ass to create labs, experimental rooms and so on, hope Valve got some models for it.

Right now I need to create a few more open areas, as for now there's only corridores with a few rooms.

Do you know if its possible to test this map in the L4D demo? I assume you need to put in some entities for survivor spaw point, AI director, etc.

i can see this with the glass rooms like in Resident evil and have alot of dead bodies in it filled with water

yeah, i agree, very gloomy atmosphere, could just see some Resident evil lickers on the cealing, with there tounnnges

Do you know if its possible to test this map in the L4D demo? I assume you need to put in some entities for survivor spaw point, AI director, etc.

I tried to use CSS for the bot navigation but it didn't work very well, the Director just summoned boss infected, none horde. In L4D there seems to be something missing, so I guess we need to wait for the SDK before we really can start to create our "movies".

As far as custom content, I will try to make some new textures.

Ok, really been a while since I've done any changes to this, but now when the full game is out I will continue. This is only a small update, in form of a new texture I've made:

I'll use it for the office complex which the survivors will enter a few maps into the campaign.

All good maps have a gimmick:

This one I thought up for a ZM map for example and its pretty simple. You get split into two groups not long after you leave a safe-room (so you're likely to have all four survivors) and the rest of the map is spent helping the other team proceed by activating things like doors for them to through and then they activate something for you and so on.

You don't have to use that one specifically, but you should have something memorable about it.

Also, whats the finale?
