I don't have l4d (and my video card can't even play it :P)
so i'm asking someone to try to spawn alyx (npc_create "npc_alyx")
or a combine soldier (npc_create npc_combine_s)
or a HL2 zombie (npc_create npc_zombie)
Or DOG!!! (I Think its npc_create npc_dog)
Theres also a command for weapons,
its like npc_create_weapon or something,
you just type in the weapon name and then the npc name. If anyone wants to point out any errors,
feel free (and don't forget to tell me if it works).
The real thing I want to know is if the base HL2 content (I.E. props, npcs, weapons) is included in L4d (its been in all the other source games so far ).

I dont think so. But im sure its possible by merging some of the HL2 folders with L4D.
The basic HL2 stuff is there, yes, but that does not include the NPC's.

You can spawn zombies in portal (I've tried it, sadly they don't go through portals) and alyx (and I don't have HL2!).
Could someone please try it with the demo? :P

EDIT:
Nope. I tried.
It throws out an " unknown command npc_create" error for each of the ones you told me. Apparently L4D doesn't use npc_create commands.

Sorry if this is too far OT, but does anyone know some model names for some boxes or something in L4D?
I'm creating breakable walls and barricading the apartments.

Sorry to put the kibosh on this plan, but if you didn't notice all those other games use the process "hl2.exe". CS:S, HL2, ZP:S, anything that uses the straight up source engine (portal i think uses "portal.exe", haven't played in forever). Unfortunately, L4d uses "left4dead.exe", which means that it's running a totally seperate engine, so the commands are built from scratch instead of being modded off of the hl2 engine (even though the L4D engine is likely very similar to the hl2 engine)
Fix any errors, I'm not 100% sure about all that.

Sorry to put the kibosh on this plan,
I've certainly never heard that idiom(?) before (sue me), but portal uses hl2.exe (i had to command out of it many times because of an accidental windows key, i can't get back to a game), and left 4 dead uses the source engine, with some parts removed (this is why the bot_add command works in CSS but not in hl2)
Sucks about npc's though (but gmod will fix that shortly :D)

oh yeah, Gmod...... I wonder what goodies will make it in there from L4D.
I bet the Zombie Survival mode will be updated with tanks and stuff xD.
