squerl and i both do. We come from Everquest 2 and are loving Lotro, although we've been taking a break from it right now. It just oozes style and breaks away from the traditional MMO gameplay a tad.

If you enjoy lotr, its the best representation of it that you'll find in a video game.

Oblivion is incredible.

And I was in the Beta for LOTRO, closed and open. I really loved it, but I think I'm needing a break from MMO's. Too much WoW has made the gameplay stale =\

I spent many many months playing through Morrowind, I just kept coming back to it again and again. Oblivion is definitely the better game, but once I finished the major quest lines, I was done. I'm looking forward to installing this when I get my new rig, getting the expansion, and having some more fun with the best RPG on the market.

Gameplay, Oblivion dominates Morrowind. Morrowind just had a more unique and varying world to explore. Plus, Oblivion limited options (spellmaking and enchanting namely) so that keeps me from making some of my interesting character ideas.

once you go MMO you cant go back....
An MMO will never touch the level of immersion of a single player rpg (and I love MMOs)

Hey seems like you all are into medievil (rpg) games I would suggest Nerver Winter Nights2

really good graphics and storyline plus I play on a server called Iniquity small module and little quest but I believe it's the best server out there now.

Are the white flashes around the UI stuff? As in every once in a while the buttons or dialogue boxes glitch out? Because I have that every so often but its rare. Not sure about the cutscene problem.

I hate MMO'S! They suck the life out of you, and also I am more into instant action and not the strategy. I like games where there is crazy physics, rivers of blood, guns and explosives, and tons of terrorists/zombies to blast. That is why want a zombie mmo so bad, I might be ablke to get into it if the graphics are good enough, like... STALKER level would be cool. My friend plays WoW and that is all he does now, he spends all day playing and he acts like other games never existed, I personally could never understand how there is anything epic about "reaching level 70 OMFG!! " The only thing from an mmo I liked was when the alliance raided the hordes funeral for a player that died in real life, and the attendees had no weapons so they all got killed. I saw it on youtube and it wa the best thing I have ever seen, it serves those nerds right!

that concludes my rant about MMO'S :)

If you find disrupting an act of rememberence funny, whichever medium it's conducted in, then I suggest you have some issues you need to get sorted out pronto...

So what? I'm sure you wouldn't want your funeral crashed by idiots. If that's the way he choose to be remembered than so be it!

I think the probs with my game, are either somthing to do with my SLI cards or...

When i first installed the game there was a new updater 1.25 i think, i didn't get it and just clicked update anyway...so i think maybe the patch(s) i downloaded were corrupted some how....Anyway ive already tried re installing it but now it dosn't even tell me to get the new updater so im stummped basically... :(

are there some other files i need to delete apart from the codemasters folder???

Help meeeee :O lol

well I guess if it was what he REALLY wanted maybe he should have considered it is a video game full of people with swords and magic. Something was bound to happen, I just found it humorous.

i try not to get MMORPG's, the last one i played "Warcraft 3: frozen throne" kept me in front of my computer for literally days on end... not good, i just get hooked too easily :p.

EVE: online also had the same outcome, god i loved that game, my accounts still sitting there, inactive, sometimes i can hear it calling me.... *dreams*... *reaches out into thin air trying hopelessly to grab back the account from the monitor*

warcraft 3 aint an mmo, that is an RTS and there isnt anything really massive about it.

probably lol, but as i said, i rarely ever go on an MMO, thus don know much about them.

Im more of an FPS and RTS fan, not because their more original, just because i get bored of them fairly quick thus dont get hooked.

Hrmm... I came close to buying LOTRO the other day... I missed out on my Founders offer, because the MMO scene was a tad boring... But now that I'm about to start school again, it sounds like it could be fun. Plus, I like the way Turbine already has a new content patch out!

Decisions, decisions...

To be honest, I would buy Planetside and play it as my MMO of choice, but the amount of players has drastically declined. Absolutely loved that game.

Hmm... this weekend I will decide what to do. At the moment, I'm leaning towards LOTRO, but we will see!

The singleplayer is good, but nwn is about MP and in nwn2 they destroyed it, that being said i say check out Dor maeglin when it leaves open beta it will be great considering the limitations of nwn2

Planetside may be old, but the large battles and little skirmishes were great! Huge continents, loads of vehicles and weapons at your disposal. The game is incredibly fun, and surprisingly balanced considering what it tried to achieve.

And yeah, Tabula Rasa looks awesome, though I have no idea when it will come out. The main MMO I'm looking forward to is Pirates of the Burning Sea. Anxious to see how it turns out. Has alot of promise, but alot could go bad.
