Despite the fact that some previews have said there will be a 360 version and some say there won't I'm gonna assume there will be when I ask this question:

Do we know anything about split-screen possibilities at this early stage?

Because I'm a console boy at heart (Tray and play all the way, and I always did find a keyboard uncomfortable for games), and I'm the only guy i know with a 360. i know that it will definitely support Live oplay, but i'm actually not a fan of live unless I'm with at least a party of 4 real friends (random online only people dont count).

And if there's no splitscreen, the only other choiice will be a 360 LAN party, and no-one i know will be likely to buy a 360 for anything but Halo3.

So, do we know anything?

Also, what are the odds do yo guys reckon of being able to use a (somewhat simpler) 360 version of the modding tools. Even if it's only a basic TS style mapmaker? I know it's unlikely, but otherwise I'm stuck with official content only.

TRS will give you more, but I don't know if you get to use modding tools... haha us PC gamers can. And to confirm: There WILL be a 360 version. And im assuming there will be split screen support... for a game that focuses on four players wel..

That's what I was hoping, but I wasn't sure if the producers would try and make it more immersive by forcing you to use a separate screen each.

And now for the sour grapes: I always thought it was better to only use offiial content anyway *sulk*

I'm not into the whole pc gaming thing either, I don't have the cash to buy a decent computer let alone upgrade every other piece of it every now and than. I'll be getting the 360 version of this game.... as soon as I get a job and a 360 to play it on that is >.<;

iv already got a 360, so that part is covered, but i doubt il get xbox live to play other users(xbox live kinda feel's like a waste...), splitscreen games always confused me, especialy since the console crap's down the graphics so it can handel 2-4 player entities at different locations of the map, then i dunno where the hell i am.(this definatly goes for starwars, battlefront.)

im probably a better gamer with a PC, since im so advanced with things, i could even jack up normal console game controllers to play on PC games.

i dont really care about modding, is probably tough to do too, although i would definatly go for map making. I agree with Xerosnake90, its kinda tough to decide which way to go, since both ways have reasonable advantages and disadvantages.

PC has more advantages though, and is a lot more convenient. Afterall, L4D isn't representative of PC gaming in general, you wont have to "upgrade every piece of it every now and than." considering PC's are the future, it's not a terrible investment...

I used to be on the line about it also, because very few of my friends have good PCs and most of them have 360's... but whatever, I have you guys right? :) I also didn't feel their lack of finance should be detrimental to my happiness. So therefore by getting the PC version, I insure my happiness until the end days, and the world is broken and remade.

Anyhoo...

Honestly, i've never been that much of a graphics "whore" anyway, since splitscreen dumbing down the graphics is a pretty good exchange for being able to play a great game with mates without having to sey up LANs or anything like that.

As for not playing with us dontleave, If we're lucky, it'll be like shdowrun (except a better game) and PC users will be able to play with/against XBL users. Altho, like I said, XBL is mostly pointless (only good thing about it is the marketplace, and I can use that for free anyway).

Theres a ridiculously large number of reasons to get each so lets just say "get both". i wish i had enough money for a good PC

If you're not gonna get xbox Live then definitely you should buy the PC version.

Pc > any console is a ridicolous saying. That's a HUGE opinion.

I HATE pc games. The keyboard is a ridiculous piece of crap and you can never really be comfortable playing computer games. I prefer to take a controller, something to snuggly fit in my hands, and play whilest lying down on the floor comfortably and chillin out...

I have a job interview tomorrow, hopefully I'll get the job and when I do I'm getting that 360 I want. Can't wait for L4D!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!

Another thing on pc gaming, you guys need to buy upgrades and all taht. If you're like me who doesn't take advantage of mods and crap like that, console gaming is the way. I'd rather pay 450$ on a console that's more fun to me than have to pay thousands to keep upgrading a computer. Not to mention I don't have to install the game, I don't have to do this and that. I buy it, go home, pop it in and it's smooth sailing from there =]

PC's are 100%, postively, absolutely, indefinately, entirely and completely superior to consoles.

Comfort depends on person. If keyboards are crap and controllers are the shiznit, why are controllers generally stuck with the in-comparison shitty consoles?

You're going to get ganked up the arse if you dont accept PC as the better machine.

Or maybe it's not common sense. It's OPINION!!! The comfort thing, as you say, is up to the person, so also an opinion, and I can see why you might say a PC is better, but that's an opinion too. they're both good for different things.

A PC gets better graphics and capabilities sooner than a console, and you can upgrade it. But that can cost a lot. Whilst on a console you pay for the whole thing once, and dont have to worry about upgrades (cause there arent any XD) .

A PC can cost a hell of a lot just to buy without upgrades, but a console doesn't (unless it's a piece of crap Sony console).

A PC can do things other than game, and a console can't so much.

A PC wastes time installing things (altho not much I'll admit, and some games don't any more) whilst a console is just tray and play.

They both have good and bad points. Either way, I say get both, and stay away from Sony. that way you get the best of both worlds (especially as if you dont like using a mouse and keyboard you can use a 360 control on the PC). That's what I do.

I was only saying when it comes to playing with firends, I prefer using a 360, so i'll get it on 360. Also, my PC is too useless to play any games more recent than say, Marathon (maybe half-life on a good day, if it feels like it)

Now can we PLEASE stop the argument, cause everyone is dead set in their ways, and nothing anyone on here says is likely to make a difference.

i got a 360 and a pc but i would prefer getting it for the pc because ther will probably be some good mods for it and thats good and the good thing about pc is the mouse and keyboard it would be way easier to get some good shots and for ppl using xbox 360 controllers will find it harder to aim and get some good shots when the game is a fast zombie action shooter. no time for slow actions :D

OPINION OPINION OPINION, it's all opinions folks, some people will agree with what u r saying, and some will not, that's how it is. I could say Left handed people are dumber then right handed people, and to me that's an opinion, and all left handed people will disagree while all right handed people will agree, but it's of course not fact at all....the ohnly things that are entirely fact in this world is ofcourse the obvious (ex: this is a chair, the sky is blue, 2 +2 = 4,etc.)

Saying that pc gaming is better than console gaming IS AN OPINION because you CANNOT have facts proving it's better. Gaming is not something that has technical specs and console to pc gaming doesn't have technical specs it's all about OPINION.

Saying a pc itself is better to a console IS something you can prove. You CAN take specs of a pc and specs of a console and compare them and this is why it's a fact that PCs are better to consoles.
