Im getting rid of my Xbox 360 premium with 7 Games... 400 euros if any takers in Germany...
Might be a bad idea considering games coming out for it but Wii is just sooo tempting...

Well, it is your choice, but I don't think that's such a great move. The 360 has such a great lineup, plus (OPINION ALERT!!!) the Wii has mostly gimmicky games that rely too heavily on the Wii-mote. The motion sensing controls lose their novelty quickly, IMO.

What the hell is wrong with you?! Giving up a 360 for a Wii?! You must be a madman! I admit the Wii is an OK system, not the best, but worth the money. But for peets sake man! Don't give up your 360 for a Wii! Look at the games coming out for it! Black Site:Area 51, GTA:4, Halo 3, L4D (maybe), RE:5, and many others. And what about the other great games already out?! Hitman:Blood Money, Condemned:Criminal Origins, Call of Duty 3,Gears of War, Lost Planet, and theres more I haven't even named. SO PLEASE! DONT SELL YOUR 360! The Wii is such a cheap price you'll be able to get it soon probably anyways and still have your 360.
And take it from a person who has experianced the Wii, trust me, its not worth giving ur 360 up.
*EDIT* (also puts his flame shield up. PREPARE FOR A FLAME WAR! TAKE COVER!!!)

CoD 3 on the Wii looks awesome =D
But still, I don't have an Xbox 360 but I personally wouldn't recommend selling your 360 for a Wii.

I have a Wii and it is very fun to play with
but I've also played with the Xbox 360 with my friend
the Wii is a good system with games that have plenty of replay value (especially if u play with a lot of people)
but most of the games that are out for it so far i dont have much interest in
If i would choose i think.. im not sure... but i just might.... juuusst might go for the Xbox

The wii is absolutely fantastic, but there's really no reason to get rid of your 360. IMO, the 360 is great for epic single player content and wide title diversity, the wii is great for party games and niche titles.
Save up some money and get both :D

CoD3 on the Wii looks significantly worse than the PS3 and 360. CoD4 wont even come out for the Wii.

I would. Wii remote adds a wonderful dynamic that immerses you in the game. After fiddling with the Gamecube version of Zelda, as well as trying Dragon Ball Z without the wiimote, I found that the remote offers both a level precision and sheer fun that isn't there with the traditional controller.
If you're a family man or like to have people over: I have never seen so many non gamers, laughing and playing. After a couple times bringing my Wii over to the girlfriends family, they had to buy one.
Virtual console is great too.
The Wii converted me from Xbox. I still might go back (and have both of course) but if I had to choose, Wii all the way. I remember the same time last year, the 360 had absolute crap for games, it takes a good year before the console starts maturing. Even still, the Wii has come out strong with titles like Zelda, Red Steel, Trauma Center, Super Monkey Ball, Rayman (and a bunch of other party games, bleh). We've got Metroid, Mario Galaxy, and Super Smash Brothers to look forward to. I do agree though, if you can manage to pick the Wii up without selling the 360, do so.

hahahahahah
what else is it supposed to rely on ? the wiimote is it's "controller"

I heard Red Steel and Trauma Center sucked... personally none of the games there appeal to me personally. But SSB is always fun with others. And Metroid was amazing for Gamecube because of the 1337 graphics. This time around though, I don't think so. Instead they'll have a new cool feature where you can control the ball with the Wii mote.
I still like the nitty gritty games like Gears of War... PS3 is the perfect balance of games though.

QFT.
What does that mean?
OT: I've never played Wii before but i have played 360 and i think you should keep the 360.

QFT= quoted for truth
Red steel I honestly don't like but I know a good number who do. Trauma center is great too, not sure if I prefer the DS or the Wii version better though. DS gives you a more tactile feel when you're cutting. Same game though, really.
Metroid isn't going to be graphics for me. Its the controls. I can't wait for a shooter done right on the Wii. Metroid on the DS is the only shooter I've enjoyed on something other than the PC (thats a stretch but its definitely my favorite)

I would save up and buy a wii and still keep the 360. Wii is very different from the 360. They are two different types of fun for me. And I wouldn't give up either.
So far, RWii4 is the only game that I feel has made seriously good use of the Wii remote. In all other games, it just feels gimmicky and unnecessary.

Come to think of it, selling 7 games for 30 bucks each is enough for a Wii here... MORE than enough.

HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAH HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAH HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAH HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAH HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAH HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAH HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAH HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAH HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAH
At any rate, there's a reason why the wii is only trailing the 360 in sales by 3 million at 11 to 8, and the ps3 has only 3 million sales total. At some point they forgot that a video game console needs...games.
It'll take the wii a good year for developers to learn how to make good use of it and start putting out games taking advantage of the console's ingenuity. I think the DS had a similar start if you'll recall, and look how that war turned out. Not to discredit the psp, it still sold well, and could only be considered an utter failure when you put it up side by side with the DS's sales figures.

I have a Wii, and absolutely love it. I want a 360 bad, but I will say, playing Madden on Wii, then trying it on 360.. there is no contest. Wii wins hands down. And Dragonball Z. That is an incredibly fun fighting game, and the Wii makes it sooo much better. Alot of the games that seem to have put the Wii controls to great use seem rather overlooked.
I'm really really looking forward to this new Harry Potter game for Wii. Never wanted one before, but with the spellcasting done as well as it sounds, and an open environment, I'm excited.
Metroid is a great game to look forward too. That, and the new Mario and Super Smash Bros. Hell, the virtual console alone is worth buying the console.
It's not really about gimicky controls, it's about immersion. Play Madden and you will see what I mean hehe. Feels soo much better.

Sounds like Live, does it have its own kind of weird thing like Live does.. I might have seen that before but im not sure, I don't usually pay attention until games start. I always play at a friends house when we go to his house after school.
Btw which Dragon Ball Z game is out for Wii? I love the Budokai games, grew up with DBZ and it's just fun beating the shit out of people... unrealistically. It IS a Budokai game right? Or that weird one that starts with a "T"
And how is that funny? Out of any console this year, the PS3 has or will have the biggest ratings range, from E (Ratchet and Clank) to it's mature titles (UT07) And compared to the 360 its games where way better at release.
I still stand my opinion that you should sell those games. If they're all decent titles for 360, and not that crap you get at burger king, selling them at 30 bucks a pop is enough for a Wii.

TBH, the WII is so original and fun, it just pwns all other consoles, it does what the others dont, provides pure enjoyable fun, without even using next-gen graphics! I know this and i dont even have a WII :P

I cant have 4 consoles around 2 is enough... im a Dad, Husband too not just a gamer... :)
Im trading my Xbox360 for Wii any takers? ;)
You can't really compare the Wii to the 360 as they are totally different styles of gameplay. They both had advantages and disadvantages. I don't have either but i have played them both at my mates. The 360 obviously has the better gfx and cool games such as gears of war, but the Wii has immersive game play, making you actively use your character.

I sprained my ankle so the past two days I've been playing co-op Gears of War and RainbowSix Vegas with a friend (nice enough to keep me company). Man I've never had so much fun with video games before!
So yeah, keep the 360!
