View Full Version : Should I buy an xbox 360?
My current computer is ok maybe even good. I can't run rainbow six vegas without first upgrading my cpu which costs about $200 the same price as a used xbox on ebay. I have never had a console but recently got an hd tv with surround sound. What should I do? Is there a big difference in terms of experience? Should I stab my pc gaming heritage in the back and buy this?

Never stab PC gaming in the back. Its the best type of gaming because it is limitless. If you want. get and Xbox360. I've got 1 but i havent got xbox live which is gay but even without it its stil awsome and i aint even got an HD tv or surrounf sound. So my advice is go for it, its well worth the money but never give up pc gaming cos its still the best

I shall agree, never stab PC Gaming in the back. Get one if you want... but if I recall, games cost a percentage more, which goes to the guys who made the Xbox. So... when it all adds up it might add up.
PC emulator = all console games you want ;)

PC emulator = all console games you want ;)
not all
its hard to find 360 and ps3 games
and if you dont want 2 buy a 360
then buy one for me
:)
no but seriously i like both
but i would say go with the 360
because cpu will always have something better then you will have to upgrade again
at least if you buy a 360 you will just have to get games
or if the system breaks get a new one with your warrenty

Depends on how good your computer is... if it can't run games like UT07, and you know it wont in the future, then I'd buy a 360 just for that. If you ARE planning on upgrading it though, why buy a 360. Unless you want to play its exclusives... Halo 3... Halo Wars? (That might come out for PC im not sure)... Blue Dragon? Hour of Victory...
Considering R6V is a UE3 game... you might not have a problem running it.

I say upgrade the comp, and wait for the 360 to go down in value, or for the games to go down. (as in price). i prefer more console then comp. but thats because I have to upgrade it so much. only because of how many games and music etc. I have on it. But I say upgrade the computer, then get a 360

I would chose buy a 360. I am as well, I've played it tons of times and whenever I'm at a friend's house that's the system I play. I even chose that over playing my friend's ps3 and I LOVE PS. Just doesn't have any good games. But yea, 360 is the bomb. The online is amazing. For the 'good' games there's almost no lag online, and I'm 100% sure that L4d won't have any either.

Yeah, the 360 will be playing the most up-to-date games for at least another 5 years to come, while your PC will probably need an upgrade or two by the time you'll need another console. More bang for the buck ;)

Here's what I would do, if you have a newer PC like 2-1 years old or less, use the money to upgrade you PC if you need to. If you have a crappy PC that is more then 3 years old with almost no compatible Processors, RAM sticks or G-Cards get an XB360.

I also say go for the 360, you're in the saem situation as me (new pc vs 360) and the 360 is simply the cheaper solution....
