WHY?! You do know that the dual core will be relatively the same price as a quad core July 22nd right? I picked up this when I went to my bookstore today: http://www.amazon.com/PC-Building-Bible-Special-Is sue/dp/B000S00BFQ/ref=sr_1_19/002-5874099-9636055? ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1183073440&sr=1-19 (http://www.amazon.com/PC-Building-Bible-Special-Issue/dp/B000S00BFQ/ref=sr_1_19/002-5874099-9636055?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1183073440&sr=1-19)
Wait till August something before Bioshock comes out or Crysis. You people just got owned lol. Everything is in 3D btw in Vista Home Premium.

It only happens when you have multiple windows on the screen at once. The quad core will cost almost the same as the dual core. Crysis and Episode 2 (especially tons of zombies on screen in L4D) will use all 4 cores. More games in the future will use quad cores also. You seriously messed up. http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/1889/attachmentde9ff1go9.png (http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/1889/attachmentde9ff1go9.png)

He could always buy a new processor? Or if its like you say trade in his current one right now. Must be a pretty shitty quad core or a really good dual core for them to be the same price.
Anyhoo... dual core will be fine for L4D.

Get a Dual or Quad core Processor that goes at least 2.4 Ghz and you'll be fine. I am getting 2 GB RAM stick tomorrow for getting a Homerun in Baseball :D

click on the button (that has like three windows behind each other) in the bottom left of the task bar, and then scroll using your mouse scroll or use the side arrows. (you need to have "Quick Launch" on to see this button. to turn on quick launch, right click the task bar, click toolbars then click quick launch
or you can press and hold the Windows button + Tab, and then release and press Tab(onyl Tab) again to scroll, or just scroll using the scroll on your mouse
Well im sticking with my dual core...and it does run at 2.4Ghz. My pc will be fine for any future games....atleast for a while anyway. This whole idea that Crysis will need quad core to run on ur pc or it will die is silly.

The fact that you bought that book in the first place shows how little you know, lmao!

Of course Crysis wont NEED quad core. He mentioned it will make full use of it. The soft spot for Ep2 will probably be Dual Core... Quad core will be extra. And wth... if I got hardware for every home run I've ever made I'd have... well I dont play baseball...

Don't lie.
Thats what the internet is for. Books on hardware go out of date very quickly.

Which is why it's foolish to wait to upgrade for something new to come. You'll end up never upgrading.
