I was reading an interview in which one of the creators indicated an SDK would be released shortly after L4D's release. Can anyone confirm this and if so....
What kind of mods would you like to see created?
I personally would like to see a mod based on the movie "Aliens" with the survivors being replaced with Colonial Marines.

They're already making a true game for that man, seriously they are. Do a search on GT.

I dont understand your statement. Discussions in the past yielded little results. I know the game has not come out yet, but that doesnt mean people cannont conceptualize future mods.

I actually saw that, but they said the gameplay would be similar to that of Brothers in Arms (tactical commands). I think the the AI director contributes tremendously to the experience, and a game set in the "Aliens" universe I believe could take advantage of the technology.

Would appreciate if you type like a normal person. Some people find that cheesy level of pretentious vocabulary and sentence structure amusing. At the least, try to type more sensibly.
Anyway, awdrgy's statement was easily understandable. He wanted you to use the search feature and continue mod discussions in the (already existent) threads on the matter.
I did a quick search and found four threads with similar contents. The one titled "So what are some good mods that you guys think there will be" would have been a good one to post in. It's an old thread but it's okay if you post something significant.
Well, on-topic, I rather kill zombies than anything else. I'm definitely tired of fighting aliens/monsters of any sort since nearly every FPS does that, except the military ones.
Really, the only mod I've been able to think of that I want is fighting the slow-walking, tough George Romero-style zombies:
These zombies would be near invincible, requiring a headshot or complete destruction of its body.
They'd be unstoppable (since Romero zombies don't feel pain), as in they'll keep lurching forward even after being shot a thousand times and lit on fire.
There would have to be several, several times the mob size than currently: minimum of 120, I'd say.
There wouldn't be any special zombies, either. They just wouldn't fit.
There would be a whole slew of new weapons, including melee. To keep it realistic, you'd still carry one equipment of each type, with an additional melee slot (because I want to use a crowbar).
That's all I can think of for now. I'd love to play with this mod on the Crossroads mall, hehe. ...Though it'd probably wouldn't work so well when the AI Director spawns zombies inside the mall all the time. Would totally break the feeling of a seige.

I'd like to see the use of melee weapons like an axe, baseball bat, machete, and a pipe.

I think a mod that portrays a more realistic preparation to a zombie outbreak would be interesting. I always sub conciously wonder how these four survivors were able to conjure up the amount of firepower they currently start out with (Uzi's in particular).
Maybe something similar to Crysis where practically any object can be picked up and used as a weapon. At some points it may be for example: 3 survivors with baseball bats, pipes, golf clubs and maybe one survivor packing a heavy/powerful weapon (shotguns, sniper rifles, etc); but has limited ammunition.

Why does every thread have to be made like 20 times on these forums.
The forum creators didn't code the search button because it looked fancy.

Iono...compared to every other search function on other site, this one's very bland and bare-bones. I want my fancy Search!

Wait till there is a mod out to use melee weapons or one that switches models to different weapons, get the Dawn of the Dead Mall map that is being converted for L4D, go to console and type "thirdpersonshoulder" or "thirdperson" and there you have it. IF you have Left 4 Dead.

I've used the search, though with little results, I even typed in the exact name of a topic, and results were null. I've never been a fan of searching. Luckily all of my topics have been mostly original.

Sometimes it's hard to find that your thread idea was made already, sure.
This can be especially hard if your wording of the concept is very different, but the concept has already been posted.
The main idea is that if you are told that your thread is a repeat, you shouldn't get defensive, you should politely close it.
And I also find it distasteful to belittle anyone's vocabulary, 'pretentious' or simple. These are forums, and as such you have no idea who you're talking to. They could be using a translator, or they could be an English major who needs to exercise their linguistic skills.
TL;DR?
If you post a repeat thread accidentally, close it.
Don't belittle people.
That is all.
