Left 4 Dead SDK not released with game?

I got really dissapointed when i didn't find the Left 4 Dead SDK anywhere this morning when the game itself got released. There doesn't appear to be any new options among the "Engine Version" or "Current Game" selections. So question is, where can i find it? I have some plans for a map and i would really like to finally get started level designing :D Help would be greatly appreciated x)

i say give a few days before we hear something about the SDK...and by the end of the month before we start seeing some quality mods...

I actually took a day off from work to start on the L4D SDK :(

The Orange Box one took about 2-3 months to be released. I hope they don't make the same "mistake" with the L4D one.

Yeah it will be a while before you start seeing stuff.

#1 it needs sourcemod support, without that not much will happen.

#2. SDK has to come out which will probably be a while.

Then you still gotta wait for people to code and come up with stuff.

I don't think they are going to release it until Ep3 comes out because they run on the same engine build.

agreed. They haven't even released info on ep 3 yet... the l4d sdk package will be out within the next couple of weeks...

VALVe is excited to see what its fans will come up with... especially since it is what is going to make this game even more amazing!

We really need a release date on the SDK valve needs to sort it out cant wait to start mapping for L4D
