That depends on how much $ I get. I'm bent on getting an elite, which'll set me back about 520$, I should get around 550 dollars if all is right, and my mom said she'll get me a game. Which'll be Gears, my dad also owes me 60$ so I'll be buying live with that. Other than that I'll have to wait for 2 weeks for another check. I'll prolly get Vegas after that cuz it's awesome and maybe save some cash or whatever, we'll see. But gears for sure.

I'm 17 and work at a casino theatre by where I live. Mostly concessions and all that shit. Pretty easy job, and I work with alot of cool people so I like it =] Pays only 7$ an hour and they only pay managers like 8, which is why I don't think I'm staying for TOO long. But it's not like I have anything better to do than make money right? =]

It's 40 (american) more for an elite here in Canada. Only they are IMPOSSIBLE to find. I was askin around at BestBuy and EB Games and they both said they haven't received any shipments since Elite launch. So I got a normal 360 bundled with Forza 2, Viva Pinata, Lego Starwars 2, and an extra wireless controller (along with the one already included with the xbox).

Pretty sweet deal. I'm gonna trade in starwars and viva pinata.

Well, there's a cutoff period for work. Meaning I worked from 2 weeks ago tuesday and got payed 2 weeks later on thursday. BUT, the thursday from last week was the cutoff period meaning I only got paid from the tuesday until that thursday. And anything I earned AFTER that thursday will go on my NEXT paycheck.

Thats not my freakin' point. You are charged for the first time ever(maybe not ever), for the use of the multiplayer function of a game, you don't see whats wrong with that? If it was an MMO perhaps then it would make sense, but every other online game I have, thats not an MMO doesn't cost me a little extra to play online. This is of course, in the point of view of someone who wants to simply play online, and will not evitably download stupid shit like Geometry Wars or something.

This has nothing to do with PC's and whatever. Just the stately claim that Microsoft is ripping off good money, it's not to say however that the developers are in on it either, because now live is practically intertwined, in the worst way possible with 360's online games... It's not wrong in how its executed, because they're so closely attached, but wrong considering the unlucky chap who finds himself pay for shit he doesn't want because he wants to play with a buddy.

First off, you started this... I only mentioned people who don't use the features shouldn't have to pay because they want online. Ok, wow. I have a job, no I don't pay for my own shit but everyone has money they put to the side. I'm saving up for a car and only get a certain amount to spend out of each of my paychecks. I'm not leeching shit from my parents, nothing but what they should be doing for me anyway such as feeding me. I get EVERYTHING by myself because I work, for myself, thank you very much.

You're so obviously a pc gamer you shouldn't give a shit to play online since consoles aren't as great as a pc anyway. Did you buy your own pc and console? Yea, I live in my parents house. I'm 17 years old and am going to start my junior year in high school in less than a month. THAT is why they are feeding me, because that's what parents do. They take care of you whilest you try to do other things in life like succeed in school. I'm working a job, saving up for a car so that they don't need to drive me and for whatever else. I don't ask for things from my parents, I don't need to. I have a job =] Once again, I'm saving up for a car so I don't get to spend everything I earn. Once I resume school I'll be doing that whilest I still work, and I'm pretty sure there's nothing bad about that.

NOW, I'm pretty damn sure I can't be living on my own succesfully at the age of 17, going to school and working at a job that pays only 7$ per hour. So if you wanna tell me that you did it, congrats. Otherwise, kiss my ass. Because I'm the average teen living with his parents who support him. Just cuz I'm not 20 years old livin on my own doesn't mean shit, except for that I have a few years to be older. Now when I'm done with school and have a better job, THAN I can think about all that other shit including my own place. As of now, I don't need to. As of now I will be supported by my parents with what they do for me.

I bought MY shit, with MY money, the money I make at MY job. Not from my parents, parents take care of shit that parents do. Clothing, food, that's the agreement I have with them. Everything else I pay for. And about your apartment, don't seem TOO cool because you're living in an apartment other people pay for as well. That means you yourself have more money to spend than a person who pays for a home by themself. Such as your parents, or mine, whom had to deal with 3 children. 1 who turned into a druggie and is now rebuilding his life, 1 that has cystic fibrosis and lives no where near us, and me who is currently doing well and going through high school. Ontop of that they have to work, support kids, and still pay for EVERYTHING bill wise.

I never said I was smarter than you, and you presumed too much when I said I had it longer than you. You said that the problem doesn't relate to me, obviously it does when I've been playing online atleast since GoW came out.

I can tell you're clearly quite angry, unfortunately it's not me who's bitching, its you. My very first post indicated as much, that im not in the least complaining. Atleast the first post concerning the Live fee. Unfortunately, the insurance and gasoline provides something of use, Live however, if used in the respect of simply online gaming, should not.
