Personally i think they should make a halo type thing for the xbox where you can search for a game with 3 bars connection or a matchmaking browser that lets for look for games and it tell connection status and amount of people in game.

I never played Halo, and I do not want Left 4 Dead to have anything in common with that stupid game.

i think most people will agree that halo's matchmaking is the best with no exceptions. the game might suck, but bungie makes a killer matchmaking system. :3

Yea, I could find a match in less than 40 seconds most of the time with no trouble.

L4D definitely needs some way to filter ping.

Best reply ever. "I don't care if there is a good matchmaking system in place for the game that could improve my enjoyment of L4D, I don't like the game so I don't want anyone to talk about it. I've got news for you: the online portion of the game was handled by the same company that did it for Halo. Gasp! Don't troll.

I actually forgot about that... 0_o
But if it was handled by them and they did good the first time, what exactly kept them from doing as good this time?

The game still sucks.

VALVe did not keep them from doing as good with it on L4D as they did with Halo 3... But I'm not really sure if I'm reading your post the right way...

I like Halo, but when I login, I run across some really CRUDE, rude people. I dunno. FPS players are a twitchy, reactionary group, but when I play, I get taunted, humped and trash-talked constantly.
They take the game REALLY personally, like they NEED to win or they are less of a man. I know that many games are good way to take out aggression but GEZZE, I don't need verbal abuse.
I notice that it's a bit better with Valve games. Halo has MANY MORE players; a broader audience so...
It is better now that I have found friends I play with regularly, but blind matchmaking is always a gamble.
It's really easy to be an @$$hole on the internet. Anomimity breeds d**ks. Because no one will find them in their mother's basement and kick their behinds.
And I REALLY feel sorry for female gamers who just want to game... The sexual comments and abuse are HORRIBLE. They usually have to disquise themselves as 12 year olds, or just play with no mic and you KNOW how that goes down.

Its a first person shooter O NO its related. It uses the same analog and shooting layout that halo invented OMG. I remember when shooting in The old MOH games used to be the A button or x button for ps1
Halo1 was a big step for console shooters. after that everyone copied them

Halos idea for matchmaking is pretty good but it's a shame that it doesn't work for shit and takes a good 15 minuites to reach a laggy game... stupid kids and mic spamming

I think Halo was sort of the DOOM of consoles. But don't say halo invented any of this stuff. Story was semi original, but the big draw of it was the online aspect.
