"This is just screaming for a rocket launcher"
- Reviewer (A member of SPUF)
This had to be one of the most un-energetic interviews I have ever seen, and I agree on GT reviews a lot.

He said it wouldn't last too long...
Does the AI director mean nothing to him? -.-
It's a fair review.
Tell me this though; when they say the game is screaming for a Rocket Launcher - where the fuck are four civillians going to find a rocket launcher? They mentioned it's short to run through but didn't mention that it's made for replayability not one play-through. They barely touched on how the Director populates the world just that it "scales difficulty".
I feel they missed the point of the game with that review.

Dude, GameTrailers.com just sucks balls for the over hyped games so they will get a bigger fan base, ending in a gain in money, don't take GT serous. Same goes for GameSpot.com and all those other dumb sites.

I think it's weird that the review starts by saying the game is "screaming for a rocket launcher" (though that idea is fairly insane in itself) and then later states that all the weapons do an excellent job.
Coupling that with the "you only get a couple hours of play" complaints, it's rather obvious that whomever played and reviewed the game didn't really understand the point of the game, that it's a replayable multiplayer experience like TF2.
No weapons and no replay value are two complaints I always hear from people who don't 'get it', so to speak. I've always been confused as to how people fail to understand that this is a multiplayer game and not some singleplayer experience you blast through once and never look at again.

Gamespot seemed to give L4D a fair review.
Gamespot has actually impressed me with their reviews recently. A lot better than before.
Gametrailers, they not only sucked Halo 3 but swallowed... It was decent but nowhere near as good as they believed.

Why do these retards keep making review on the 360? Oh yea, what I said earlier, sucks balls for the over hyped games so they will get a bigger fan base
God damn I really wish they would make reviews on the dominate console, and not the one that should have been aborted because now he has a seasure every 3 months or so, costing in another child that should have been aborted.

Please. No more trolling over which console is better. I'd like to go 1 day on this forum without seeing an argument over this.
Both systems have their pros and cons, its just your playing style preference. I prefer the good ol controller, but thats just me. Other people prefer the keyboard, and I'm perfectly fine with that. Please, if you really must try and force your opinion on others, take it somewhere else because I and many others would probably prefer not to see another flame war.

I am saying that reviewers need to stop making reviews on the 360 version, the PC is dominate because Valve has just started to make games for that damned console that I just happen to not like.

First: that reviewer is a tard, and we all know.
Second: The fact that the PC plays with tighter control than the controller jabs you console fanboys at the heart, I'm sure, but facts are facts and arguing against them is fruitless.
Try playing and mastering a game on the PC.... for example, a shooter like, maybe, Left 4 Dead? After you do you will learn the pros far outweigh any cons you could have made up..... which are exactly that: made up.
I love my Playstation and my Gamecube, but I wouldn't play the games that I play on them on the PC and vice versa. Consoles games have a certain feel to them, what with the controller and all, but you have to remember that consoles are only PCs in fancy boxes.
P.S. Xbox and everything related to it sucks.

Its strange, he talks about how simple the game is as if its a bad thing.
Could you imagine if they added a rocket launcher? The new-players would take it and blow up a teammate while trying to shoot a tank.

Watching that review, they used clips from both the PC and the 360 version, and which console is better is just a matter of playing preferences. I'd rather not continue this discussion, but I'll end on this. Check this (http://www.left4dead411.com/forums/index.php?action=vthread&topic=3623&forum=3&page=0) by Frogopus. It clearly states no starting or taking part in console wars of any kind, which is why I'm choosing to end this conversation here.

Why attack the Rocket Launcher comment? It would obviously help against the tank. And they have already found miniguns an M16's setup all over the place.
I thought it was a fair score. After about a week of play despite the Director L4D is already getting pretty repetitive. The level design is far too linear an basic IMO. If they were going to put this little into them they should have had like 50 levels.

There should be more levels, I agree. I'm sure it'll be more fun when fans start making maps and experimenting with different things (like a non-linear map with objectives rather than a "get to next safe house" goal)

Its not too repetitive for me... It feels like a different experience for me EVERY time, and even if that gets repetitive, try versus. As for 50 levels, give VALVe credit, they have 20 levels spread out across 4 different enviroments. New campaigns will be sure to come in a little while, just don't expect it straight away. And while it is linear, if it wasn't many people would get lost and maps could take up to 20-30 minutes.

Why the hell would you want iron sights? The game was made for the experaince, not the realism and visuals, although Left 4 Dead gets a perfect score on all of them. This guy is an idiot for even thinking a rocket launcher is a good idea for a online Co-Op zombie game.
I give the game 10/10
The video gets -2/10 Waste of time to make this review, and waste of my time watching it.

I agree with the idea that if you dont "get it" you won't like the game. The review seemed to be mostly done in single player which already throws credibility out the window. They also didn't give versus mode enough credit because that is really fun imo. They seemed to think that this was going to be a single player campaign game rather than a multiplayer game. Thats where the facepalm comes in. I guess we will wait and see if they are right in saying it won't last long.

Yeah your probably right. A year from now all sorts of creative maps will be available most likely. The majority made by fans. Doesn't excuse Valve providing so little with the base game though. I mean No Mercy was a pretty good campaign the environment felt constantly different but all the others were pretty meh. And not one of them played any differently from the first. Aside from not being able to see where the zombies are on Blood Harvest that is.

Agreed. They should have mixed it up a little bit more. Maybe had a map that played with the vertical, like a mountain or something.
Fans maps won't be as fine-tuned as Valves, but if you've played Zombie Master you'll know they can make some decent maps anyway.

I saw the beginning montage, and as soon as I saw him melee a witch I knew what was coming.
Would have been nicer if the paths would randomize each stage so you won't be taking the same path each and every single time.
None the less, I still enjoy this game especially when played with a nice group of people. I feel that this reviewer didn't seem to have used the multiplayer option of this game to it's full potential.

Ditto. And the amount of painful FF in the end just made me facepalm terribly.

Why the hell are they saying this game is too short? Its a multiplayer coop game Jesus...
Also, he walked to Francis to heal him, but he pressed the wrong mousebutton and healed himself - doh!

Yeah, I don't get a lot of these reviewers. It's a short game? That's like playing through each one of the Counter-Strike maps once and calling CS a short game. Ugh.

Usually I like GT, but they really shit on this one. I agree with what squerl said :D 8.6 is good, but this deserves better than that. All of my friends agree that he should be fired unless bashing games that aren't mainstream is what they look for.
