Weapon of choice?

Which weapon do you find yourself most using? No "I use them all they all have their uses" Which weapon do you use more than the other 2? I'm a shotgun man myself.

but here I am, unable to use anything effectively but the Uzi or M16.

I'm more dangerous to my teammates with a shotgun than to the infected.

I never liked the Uzi. It just lacked the stopping power of the shotgun and the accuracy of the M16.

I'd say the Hunting Rifle...BECAUSE I let myself go ahead and headshot/kill the infected that are really far away from my group. Then we move on. The rifle is a one hit kill on any regular infected.

The thing about the Hunting Rifle is that it can be rather inaccurate with anything but a perfect connection. Sometimes I need two to three shots for a single Infected up close... Works fine in Singleplayer, though.

I tend to use the M16 in VS most of the time, because it's range is very useful. When playing a campaign the Auto-shotgun is more fun and the weapon of choice.

Guess I have a weapon for each mode...

I use the M16 whenever possible but it sucks to have to start the death toll campaign with a dam Uzi, I like the accuracy of the M16, but Its also fun to use the Auto Shotgun, because its easy to take down alot of zombies quicky in close range areas. but in open areas the M16 is my choice.

Between the Uzi and Shotgun, I use the shotgun.

I typically opt for the Hunting Rifle (Which is probably an M14DMR) as it does a high amount of damage and can kill common zombies in one headshot. It allows me to clear paths for my team and shoot smokers/hunters at long range before they can pose any potential threat to my team. I just hate it in expert where some idiot runs in front of you and you end up in-capping them.

I use the M16A3 in all the finales except Blood Harvest, and its my weapon of choice in versus.

I use the autoshotgun (Which is probably a Benelli M4 Super 90) in No Mercy Hospital section, and in the Blood Harvest finale, or just when I'm feeling damn happy.

I like the hunting rifle though thats cause I go sniper in most games, I use the auto-shot in finales cuse I heard they're the best against tanks and the can take down more than one zom at a time

I like the M16 the most, simply because it's got lots of bullets, lots of damage, and pretty damn fast compared to the others.

I sometimes use the hunting rifle in single player just to get easy headshots though, and yet I still find the auto-shotgun useless in my own hands. 'Tis powerful, true, but god damn it I hate having to reload each and every goddamn bullet.

Shotgun from safe room, then M16 all the way.
Prefer the M16 because its got craploads of ammo, and its accurate up to a long range. Also when someone gets puked on its much easier to help them without blowing their face off.

I use to prefer using the m16 due to it's clip-size, spray usage, and damage... But ever since trying to achieve the Akimbo Assassin achievement (I only play on expert), I've become quite fond of the pistols. Sadly in the past 58 games (I left 52/58 because pugs are horrid), I've only used pistols. They are pretty amazing when you use them too much.

Not to mention, if you see like a swarm of zombie running towards you, 1 round from the hunting rifle can pierce through a couple of zombies in a line.

I found the Hunting Rifle useless, I end up running halfway through a chapter, mostly switching to my pistol because they got too close, then ran all the way back to the saferoom by myself, grabbed a M16. The Director saw me away from the group, and spawned a hunter near me.
I was boned.

I end up doing far too much FF with a shotgun, and the hunting rifle does not have the crowd control ability the other two have. So it is the M16 for me!

There should be another poll titled "What gun would you least like a teammate to have?". My guess? Auto-shotgun...

I used to say I would always use the hunting rifle, but I tend to reach for the autoshotty 90% of the time since it is basically the best weapon for my playstyle.

Hunting rifle, easily. Your teamates FoV decreases dramatically as well as their ability to control hordes. Also, they're equally as prone to FF at close range as the auto shotty. Granted bad players will do FF damage at mid-long range with the auto shotty, but it's just such an effective gun in the hands of a player with good reaction speed.

Also, yes. I did have "Fatboy Slim - Weapon of Choice" in mind when wording that. Even if I don't particuarly like the song :p

You know, I thought that I would main with the M16, but here I am using the Hunting Rifle the most.

I still love the M16, though.

I usually end up taking point or at least stick to the front of the group, so I almost always use the shotgun and auto-shotgun. I let my teammates handle the long range killing and for horde rushes (or if anything gets close) I step in and blast it to pieces. It also does an excellent job at tearing the Tank to pieces when you get up close.

I use the shotguns and I'm still allways the dude with least FF made in the end. I just don't like shooting mah buddies. It's better to shoot the zombies.

And every shottyman knows that it's his place to be on point. A backrow shottyman is just plain old gay and doesn't know how to play and should go to play Hello Kitty Online.

Shotgun and auto-shotgun. I'm usually out in front (crouching of course), which makes the shotguns invaluable tools. Plus, I almost never run out of ammo, they're the best guns for taking down hordes at close-medium range, and they're great for blasting Hunters and Tanks.

I agree a good shotgunner is important in a group; I just don't trust the average joe with a shotgun to NOT shoot that hunter/smoker off of me with their trusty shotty. Just me.

I really apreciate a player that is good with a shotgun; I suck at using them without FFing, and that is not acceptable. So, in the end I'll just stick w/ my M16. Maybe after I practice more in single player with a shotty I'll change my mind.

I prefer my razor sharp wit. It is most effective, especially used with an underslung sarcastic putdown. The zombies don't know what hit them.
