Nov 27 update?

I was playing versus and pounced on francis, who was healing, and the instant I connected with him, the game crashed to the desktop. I restarted left 4 dead and all of a sudden it is updating. It says it will take an hour and a half to finish the update. When I click on the update news button, it only shows the latest update as the 25. What could this HUGE update be about I wonder?

Hrm. I restarted steam, fired up L4D ... no update. When was the last time you restarted Steam? Maybe it's an old update that hasn't had a chance to apply?

yeah, sounds like an old update that didn't get applied. When your game crashed to desktop it may have corrupted something as well. So the game simply fixed itself.
