Completing a campaign by only playing the finale?

I have played Death Toll online SO MANY TIMES, but have gotten disconnected from the server, as the game loads from 4-5 maps. (everyone gets disconnected not just me).
Is it possible for me to join at the 4th map, complete it nad the finale, and still get the Death Toll Acheivement?

Nope. You have to start from the very beginning and complete the very end, and if you go idle or get disconnected. The achievement unfortunately no longer applies.

Ok, I'm a bit confused. I've been reading this on the steam forums as well. I don't think that it's true that you need to finish the campaign in one go. I mean, has anyone tried it?

I'm just curious because a week ago a friend and me were trying to finish No Mercy on expert. We had been at it for 4,5 hours from the beginning. One of our players left and a new one joined. We retried the finale a couple of times after that and eventually succeeded. Only the new guy and me made it. We both got the Zombicidal Maniac achievement. My friend only got to 1/4 of the 'What are you trying to prove' achievement. The guy who joined later thus got the achievement. We were a bit surprised and asked him if he finished the other levels on expert as well, to which he said he did.
