Dang It! All Those Hours Wasted?

Okay, so me and my 3 friends decided to get achivements. One went for Akimbo, Unbreakable, Do Not Disturb, Untouchables . Another went for Akimbo, CR0WNED, Unbreakable, Untouchables. The last one and I just went for Untouchables.

So, we spent hours, grueling through Tanks, which we had to distract from the two getting Unbreakable. Witch, which had gone wild from a CR0WNED achievement gone wrong. Nothing compared to the finale of No Mercy. There is a trick to getting no damage whereby you fall down to the ledge behind the vents. We had trouble with it as we were pounced on by hunters, entangled by smokers, somehow, zombies and tanks managed to get up (Due to zombies overcrowding and stacking over each other, Tank not receiving damage), friendly fire. We kept restarting the finale. We decided that 2 people in the middle would constantly melee the outer people as hunters and smokers would most probably aim the outer people. While the outer people shoot the zombies. All worked well, except for some, who fell. When, finally, the sound of the chopper came! We rushed towards the chopper. We MADE IT! Nobody took damage. But, no green words popped out when the 'NO MERCY' came out! OMFG! Those hours WERE WASTED!

tl;dr - Glitched by a server, trying to get achievements for hours, sucks.

well for a start you cant get do not disturb and crownd in the same game

Akimbo is notoriously random on whether it accepts you even having other weapons picked up

A single point of damage on ANY survivor will negate untouchables, hunters can easily inflict that during a pounce attack

Unbreakable is just meh maybe a bug, ive had trouble with achievements registering for surviving campaigns alot, i had to do blood harvest 5 times before it accepted i survived the campaign.

While a friend got Akimbo with dual pistols, I got it after i played it with only one pistol because I didn't achieve it with duals..

so there are some problems..

but your text answers a question I had in mind, can i play expert alone and if i am tired i return on a next day to start with the last saveroom.. but if it has to be done in one rush, I guess I have to play with my friends :) anyone who tried the expert achievements and got them without playing expert no mercy etc. in one run?

starting from a map past the first doesent count as a full campaign

in other words you need to do 1-2-3-4-5 in one session

even joining after map 1 has started apparently doesent count it as the full thing

Yes, we started from the lobby, to the end.

Do Not Disturb was one guy, CR0WNED was another guy, not the same person.

Yes, WE DID not get a single hit point damage after calling the chopper. That's why we had the 'melee' tactic. We shoved hunters off before it could deal any damage.

When I got akimbo, I used everything but the primary weapons and the minigun. It worked.

As for those other achievements you listed, most of them are actually TEAM achievements. For example, if anyone wants to get DO NOT DISTURB, NO ONE can disturb the Witch.

And if only two of you were going for Untouchables, just start at the finale. I was trying it on Death Toll on easy and even then it's kinda hard just 'cuz it's so tricky. If ANY zombie/rock hits you OR you take team damage, you're screwed.

Also, I've determined that the hardest achievement to get is either Nothing Special or Stomach Upset. If you're going for Safety First, I definitely recommend single player, since bots can't shoot each other and they don't use explosives.

I got Untouchables completely out of the blue in Death Toll. I have no idea why because all of us got the shit kicked out of them. (I was the only one to survive.)

same here, seemed to glitch for me today as well. I'm not complaining. Only 9 achievements left.

Okay, so I realise we did Do Not Disturb, CR0WNED, and Untouchable wrongly. But what about Akimbo and Unbreakable? We didn't even use a health pack or pain pill, hell, we didn't even pick it up. And as for Akimbo, yes, they did not pick up a primary weapon, nor mount on a MG. The only things they carried were Pistols and Pipe Bombs/Molotovs.

i did the whole campaign using only pistols i didnt pick up another gun and i didn't get it.

I noticed that when I had some settings changed in my console, such as z_setmaxzombies (or something like that... I set the number of zombies really high.) When I was trying to get the genocidist acheivment with that setting changed, it totally ignored what I was doing. It displayed some white text in the server every time I killed a zombie "Acheivment progress "genocidist" ignored - max zombie limit changed" or something along those lines.
The server operator might have subtely changed something that would have restricted acheivment progress.

Get on the dock with the gas cans and molotovs. You light the front of the dock and then have people cover the sides and check for boss infected. You kite the Tank. Get back on the dock. Take out the next tank, then toss pipe bombs to distract the horde while you get on the boat.
