Pipe bomb while down.

Don't you think it would be just great to be able to use pipe bombs while downed?

Just imagine ... the 4 survivors running while the horde's coming and the safe house is near.

Damn Francis got grabbed by a hunter. Zoey turns back, headshot the hunter but Francis is incaped.
Francis: "Run i'll cover you !!!"
He grabs a pipe bomb, the bip attracting the hord on him leaving the other 3 free to join the safe room.


and ... BOOM !!


Z movie style !


Or just the opposite situation:
you're about to get to the safe room but you're downed by an infected. And noone turns back to help you.
You could just throw a bomb toward the safe room and let them deal with the hord. :D

Wouldn't be very balanced. If you ended up dieing no matter what in the blast(I am Legend style), then I suppose it would.

Won't all the infected just be mauling you on the ground anyway...pipebombing yourself on the floor would just blow you and the infected up faster? No real use for it then, your just speeding up the inevitable.

Edit: You guys miss the point, you basically know that you're going to die, but your pistol can't kill all the infected around you. So instead of killing 5-10 while down, you can kill 20-30 for your team, but you're dying in the process. It's like a suicide bomb. I'm all for it.

This is my #1 feature request. The ability to set off a pipebomb or molotov when you're incapacitated totally fits with the game's heroic feel.

Wow, me and my friends had the exact same idea. This would definately be the most bad ass feature for this game. If the devs don't add this, I sure as hell will :)

I did something close to this..

I had a bomb equipped and right as I tossed it a Smoker popped up and snared me, dragging me right on top of the bleeping thing. It saved me from the smoker tongue,.. too bad I also got blown up.

I think down people should be able to at least active the pipebomb but dont throw it, or crush the molotov in the floor... so they sacrifice for the team =D

How would you accidentally push it? How would you accidentally switch to the pipe bomb while encapped? Then accidentally detonate it? I think it could work, though i could see abuse of it as well in versus? Traitors?
