If you don't own a copy of Resident Evil 4 yet i suggest you buy the wii version. It's really awesome zombie game! Also be prepared to buy Super Smash Bros Brawl when it comes out :D

Currently the best games on the system are all party games, but as mentioned, pick up zelda and resident evil 4, really REALLY great single player adventures. Also you have metroid and super mario galaxy coming up soon to sate your single-player palette :D

my friend has a wii and its hella fun but when it comes down to it the 360 has better and more immense games so you really feel in the game.

i have a PS3, i bought it a week after it came out. Great machine, improving everyday, ive got internet on it, free Playstation network, i can download new items for my games from the PSstore. I have resistance which is a great game, motorstorm which is another great game and also F1. But i dont think any of these games show the real power of the PS3, the price and lack of decent games atm has really reduced its popularity. But there is so much you can do with it. Ive already got 5 Blu ray films, amazing quality espcially on my 48" 1080i screen. The backward compatibility is good, i can play almost every single PS2 game i own. I've downloaded films, converted them in 1080i resolution, transfered from my pc to ps3. TBH, you could never do anything like that wiv an xbox 360, 60GB hdd comes with it, and wired and wireless internet. I'm just w8ing for MGS4, new GTA and other games. BUY A PS3!!!!! lol,

Red Steel is one of the worst games ever. Also, 3rd party developers aren't smart enough to make good fps controls on the wii. Wait for metroid for good fps action. Also, Medal of Honor Heroes is coming to wii with 32 players online.

The Xbox 360 is still getting to many good games though, so it wins right now. When smash bros. comes out, xbox 360 will lose big time for me.

I haven't really been a fan of consoles anyway, and Microsoft's advertisement abuse is making it worse. I like the rant too, considering it's purely subjective. And in my honest opinion, Nintendo advertisements are way more stupid than the Xbox 360. If I ever see two middle aged Japanese men on my doorstep asking me if I want to play, I'm going to beat them with a hockey stick. The 360 sells because it's a good machine, not because you can buy one with a part time student pay check, and all the games are ready Teen and under.

The reason the Xbox 360 doesn't amuse is probably because it's not a game in itself. People don't buy consoles because they want to, &quot;Play the consoles,&quot; they want to play the games. The Wii is a piece of plastic also, even more so plastic than the rest of the consoles.

Warranty aside, both consoles will last well over 4 years, the PS2 is already going on to its eigth, or ninth im not sure. When time passes by after we've played all our great console exclusives, the Wii graphics will look like shit, and it'll lose consumers inevitably. The Wii-mote gimmick will only last so long, even less if Mircosoft or Sony were to say, come up with their own X-Mote and PS-mote respectively.

There's really no use argueing here, we can see you're quite passionate about your PC and that's fine. But something being more fun and cool should never be a part of any debate if you want to be valid. And that the two most contributing factors to a consoles sale is probably the price tag, and the game. I doubt very much people care what its made of, the temperature of the components etc. Thats not to change the fact that millions of consoles have been sold in the past two years...

Then your PS2 is magical, because their has been a large number of complaints about the CD drive braking, everyone i know had a problem, but i love the console none the less. The PS2 slim was given an improved CD drive to solve the problem.

dont u dare give them credit for DX10, you have no idea how many other companies worked their asses off to make that. Do however, give them credit for the crappyness of vista. Turned out horrible because they didnt give companies enough time to sort out drivers, but hopefully, by the beginning of next year, it should be a fairly stable and nice addition to the microsoft operating systems.

Sometimes i just get a little bit angry when ranting about small little things and take it way too far, but thats just me. Im not a PC fan-boy. I personally dislike the idea of being a fan of one particular thing, its stupid. one must keep an open mind and test things before you may voice your opinion on the matter.

i do use the PC for a lot of gaming maybe, but in some cases i much prefer a console. The PS3 is great for racing games, either arcade or simulation. the motion sensing is a great addition. The Xbox 360's strong point has got to be halo, and again, racing simulation games are a must have on a console. PC controls have never been quite right for those sort of games. GOW was a good game on the 360, but i did say before, i personally would have preferred it on the PC, im just not that comfortable using a pad to play FPS and RTS games. Although sometimes they can work quite well, i just dont see the lead a pad has against the keyboard and mouse.

In my opinion

PC = me time and personal use i.e. the name lol
console = fun time with friends and family.

Maybe it was on our network, but i didnt see anything except the one with the xbox standing in the center of the screen with a tone of games building it up, completely pointless because all i want to see is what the console actually offers me, they have 1 minute, why not make use of it?

Brand loyalty is the most retarded thing ever. Just enjoy great games, and don't assume a game will be good until you've played it or seen A LOT about it (like L4D).
