This Tv is going to be used for mostly gaming.

I have to return a 42" Panasonic plasma because it has terrible green phosphoric trails whenever there is motion, I'm looking at a sony bravia 32" but I've had terrible experiences with lcd tvs. If you have It, please answer these questions.
A. Is there any input lag? (press a button, takes time to respond)
B. It's response time is 8ms, Is there really bad motion blurring?
C. Is the image choppy at all when playing a game? On a 60HZ lcd tv i played fallout 3 and the motion was so choppy and bad.

Posted in Xbox forums because I need someone with a xbox to answer these questions.

I own a bravia, but it is a larger size.

When I input a channel, there is quite a lot of lag, sometimes taking 5 seconds to change channel.

Fallout on the t.v is good to me, but I think the game on xbox is choppy like little stutters and such.

Mine is a 100 hz t.v so there is not much motion blur either.
Games do look great on it.

I have the 40" Bravia XBR1, bought it brand new with my Xbox 360 and been using it VGA ever since. The VGA colors wash out some because it bypasses the Bravia color engine and displays pixel-for-pixel like a monitor, but the HDMI I have the PS3 on is beautiful and vibrant.

I would purchase another Sony TV, but for the money, Olevia is a young wanabe-big-brand at budget prices that gets their glass from Sharp most of the time, and Sharp is widely acclaimed as having some of the best LCD glass on the market. Look for a deal on Olevia and you could really score.

I don't know what shipmate is talking about, but I don't know of any credible sources on AV that would agree. I will give him this, though, the Samsung Touch of Color engine has made some serious improvements the last two years and the newer Samsung LCD panels are looking really nice.

Also as for lag, I frag like crazy in Halo and Left 4 Dead on the 40" 8ms. No blurring I ever notice.

For more help, there's a forum called avsforums.com you could browse. (can I post links to other sites?)

I have the Sony KDL32V hooked up to my Xbox with a HDMI cable. Looks really nice in my opinion, esp the dark sections which can be a point of frustration for LCD sets (and an important factor for L4D).

I have a 32" bravia 720p. I run it attached to a PC at 1360x768 resolution (native res). Connnected via dvi to hdmi cable. No input lag on games like crysis, left 4 dead, etc etc.
Love it.
