Hacks in 360... a sad sad day...

So this was the first I have seen of this.

Me and my friends are playing versus no mercy, we start as infected. Everything is normal until we get to the first room with zombies. All of the sudden we all turn into tanks, then the room catches on fire. I was thinking, wow AI director must have run out of lube again and how the hell do they have a molotov already. Then we kill them. Now its our turn as survivors at the very start, I mean as the camera is panning and its doing its little intro there are 4 tanks all around us. they are all on fire and have pipe bombs and molotovs falling out of them so fast the beeping was a constant fast pace rhythm. So me and my friends are like... well somebodies got crazy cheats.

My friend said that he saw Louis fly off the top of the building and then come flying back and sunk threw the floor. So I said we should wait for the next map because I was curious as to what else would happen.

So we start, everything is normal for the first 20 seconds or so. Then we all turn to tanks but my tank is behind the pile of rubble blocking the end of the subway track. I can't get out. Then I see Louis fly up through the rubble and shoot me then fly away through the wall. He does this about 15 times and then leaves. So I am stuck... then we returned to lobby with a 6 to 2 vote.

When we get to the lobby we are all saying that the guy who was Louis is a douche. He said go ahead and kick me but I'll be *then I kicked him*.

I don't know how he did it but damn is it going to suck when more people find out how. People who cheat less conspicuously will probably get away with it because people won't be as apt to call hacks like they are on PC.

Anyway, anyone else seen this yet?

I had a similar thing happen in TF2, the opposite team could no_clip through anything and had unlimited health and ammo. It was tottally awesome how they put 5 sentries IN our spawn room. The guy doing it had to modify his xbox and hook it to his computer.

Sounds like misuse of console commands, but you can't use them like that on PC multiplayer servers.

Most servers have sv_cheats set to 0, so you can't. Seems some people have found a way of accessing the console on the 360?

You missed the part where I said LOCAL HOST... aka... The person who made the lobby hosts the server... has sv_cheats 1 in his configs... and Cheats are enabled.

That's asking for trouble. Your common server doesn't have sv_cheats 1.

Exactly... but whats to stop the Server host from making it local host? All he has to do is cancel the search and l4d asks if he wants to make a local server... and noone in the lobby knows because it still says Searching for Dedicated

Make sure you file a complaint on his GT and say he was modding. When enough people do it he'll be suspended or banned, and if the guy is doing it on a lot of games it'll happen soon enough.

Sounds to me like they were using PC console commands... Which is odd to see for the 360.

There's a way you can change game settings via PC, then transfer them to the 360 versions game by using a 360 transfer cable. Hopefully MS finds a way to block it from happening

Shit yeah i have i got a buddy who did that hard drive user settings shit and now he can delete stuff and spawn crap. But i thought they made a patch so that you couldnt go into a server and use the hacks. and yes they got these for the PC but you must be the host or server admin etc.
