View Full Version : unresponsive hosts in 360 lobby...

This is constantly happening to me. The host (usually without mic as far as I can tell) is joined by three others. They're all ready to go, but the host doesn't actually seem to be there, never starts the game, and never responds. I thought it might just be them not noticing we're all there, but it happens all the time and after talking to some other Live members, they seem to have this problem too. You have to exit, set your settings again, and find another lobby.

Anyone have any idea what's going on, or what to do about this?

Yeah, this has happened to me a few times too. (Versus mode.) We are all ready to play and the host just isn't there. :/

I think that this is happening because it takes a little while for the game to fill (I tried to make my lobby and it takes up to 30 min. sometimes) so he goes to do something else, instead of waiting, and i guess forgets about it... but this is just a guess, i'm not really sure this is why it happens. It has happened to me and gets me really angry.

on the PC when i am host people are always saying start the game when it is searching for a server, and then they leave because they think i am not starting just to annoy them

Yea about half the hosts ive seen never start the game so everyone leaves.

it annoys the shiat out of me, and yeah they never have mics so you can't really tell them to start the game.

or... AFC host.
Happens on PC too. The host joins a lobby then leaves, so everyone keeps joining his lobby and leaving. Its really annoying. Especially when you get a full game.

I tend to leave the minute a game goes back to lobby if I'm playing public.

If I'm playing with friends I tend to just wait until everyone leaves and we get control of the server.

This happens to me a lot. And it doesn't matter if they have a mic or not because they're not even at their system to use it.
