AI characters?

if u play with AI bots for survivors will they be good? or will they suck?

for example: if im bleeding out and there are zombies coming to kill me will the bot kill the zombies first or try to save me first? (the zombies r close enough to get the bot if they tried to save me)

Don't know, we never got to experience them and I don't think I remember any previewers who did.

Pretty sure they'll clear the area first, im guessing TRS masters of game AI would improve on their co-op capabilities first hand and not like in CS:S where the bots suffer no human error whatsoever (damn their perfect ability to predict recoil) I'll bet we'll have situations in where 2 bots keep fighting/covering while the other bot helps you up

That was most definately a infected bot as opposed to a survivor, I doubt they'll let people see AI survivors meaning they most probably suck, basic techniques but no real player-like characteristics. Of course the infected AI will be superb, they don't have to worry so much about teamwork.

the AI is something they have really worked on, hence the AI director and how Mike booth claims they have taken their AI to the next level, im sure it will be half decent and wont ruin gameplay probably be much better than most people when they first start to play :D

The real test will be if someone drops out of a game, AI bot takes over and if we dont notice then its good :)
~ or maybe the hordes of zombies rushing at you will just be distracting enough to not notice or care about the fact mr bot is now playing.

u know if its a bot if it starts killing everything like a hacker, or dies too easily.
there is no evenly matched bot...its above or below the competition

No the 1UP people played with a SURVIVOR bot. If you watch the podcast they say so, saying that they at first thought it was one of the guys from valve because it worked with the 1UP people so well.
