Smokers instant death kills

How many of you got creamed by those instant death pulls over ledges on the hospital finale, the broken railings on the second chapter crescendo, the train pulls, and what other ones am I missing? Do tell, so people are more aware of them.

Man, I hope it's not only for Xbox. Even when your at 80 health and get pulled off the top of the roof by a smoker on the other it takes you down in a second.

If your on the 4th level of no mercy. you got that high construction zone. Where there are no walls. If a smoker drags you across that you fall off. You die.

I mean sometimes there are spots where you pull a survivor over the ledge, but on Pc version, the survivor will always grab, except here (http://www.left4dead411.com/forums/index.php?action=vthread&forum=6&topic=7565&page=0#msg170593).

For the finale where you pull the victim off the first roof, placing yourself on the antenna roof, maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I never managed to instakill anyone there.

Whenever I'm smoker and pull someone to an edge that will cause significant damage or death if they fall, they usually grab on the ledge and begin taking constriction damage until freed, then they need to be helped up.

There was one time I was pulling someone from the other side of that semi truck just before the gas station and lift on the third level of no mercy. Just when I thought I was going to start doing damage I came off. At first I thought he was freed or my tongue was shot. Then I realized there was only 3 survivors left : /

Yes it happens in PC...
And it can screw you even if your on the zombie team...
Like if your going for "ALL 4 DEAD" achievement and you kill 3/4 but a smoker pulls the survivor off the building.
And then you go into a rage and throw a rock at the smoker killing him.

Oh the smoker died but by dying he dropped the survivor.

Ok so you or your teammate was just instakilled by a smoker off a ledge. What to do, what to do. Well, in the finale of No Mercy why don't you all head up the ladder at once and melee as soon as you get up. It negates the effect and that's that.

Do the same on every other instakill.

To avoid it, you can feint -not sure it's the right word- to climb up, then before accessing the roof, you go back down the ladder again.

Usually, the smoker will miss but it's better if he tongued you on the ladder, so you won't be pulled away off the roof,(you should be hanging along the ladder) tm can help you and smoker has to recharge.

Now you can deal with the boomer and the 2 other hunters...

I think that ladder entrance to the No Mercy finale map is too easy a spot for a Smoker to get an instant kill on versus. At the instant you are coming up off the ladder, you have no time to melee or fire your weapon, and the Smoker grabs and pulls you off the first high rise to plummet to your death. We need to be given a chance to fight that;otherwise, why play?

Only problem is the smoker is not often alone.

Try to climb the ladder with the whole team so that all 4 survivors reach the roof on the same time and hope that the infected don't start an attack together. If your teammates don't fall asleep, they should be able to free you from the tongue.

Yeah, I do that a lot as a smoker too, it's sometimes the key to winning when I'm playing against an experienced team...

BTW, it isn't random or anything, it only works on edges where the survivors are able to jump off by themselves. (English?)

like, dont go near the edge they pull you from, dont get near the edge when running across, etc. etc.

get good instead of get angry
