Would it be possible to upload avatars to the ones already up

like you can upload some other avatars that you have so other people can use them.
Like gamespot has that a option to upload your avatars so other people can use them, so i was think if that would be possible on here.
But i think it would consume space on here right?

Just upload your own through photobucket/imageshack etc.

can we upload avatars for people that want to use different ones, than the ones already uploaded.

I don't remember seeing any pre-built optional addons which add that functionality either.
