Slow loaders!

Well, this just came to me. When you complete a section of the map, and it is loading the next part.. What would happen if you have a slow loader on your team? be boring to sit around and wait but if you go off your a man short and when he finally loads they will be on there own.. Left 4 Dead :O!

As far as I know, loading will only occur at checkpoints. And that is the time were you have to stock up your ammo, get a new health kit and, most likely, thank whatever kind of god you believe in for surviving the massive zombie party, right? ;)

I don't think we will rush through those passages, as they seem to be the only places, where you are really safe. If the AI Director will be as dreaded as described by now, I will be happy about every moment of relaxation. :D

I guess slow loaders won't be much of a problem.

You wait for them.. cause your a nice person. I bet if you get in after the people start playing you will probably wait to be spawned in a closet or something. Like waiting till they get to the checkpoint.

Yeah, you wait unless you want to die from being a man or two short. Just jump around/gather ammo and health kits, etc. Source engine is pretty great when it comes to loading times.

indeed i notice the time between changing levels in the showdown lan footage was at least 5 seconds
but maybe it was edited

Hopefully its much faster with only 4-12 people, and the maps better optimized unlike most of the maps done on Source (custom maps)

I hope this is the case, it'd be nice if the bot loaded, but it would only be there for at the most 2 minutes, but still be cool if players and bots can fill in for each other the moment the game starts.

Even with a low spec computer, I doubt the loading times would head much over 30 seconds. Besides, YOU would be the idiot to leave without a team mate.

You'd be surprised how long some people take to load even HL2 levels... and thats just computer wise, if their internet connection sucks then we're doomed!!!

And also, the idiot is the one who loads last for not buying a decent PC/Steady internet.
