After two months of silence, VALVe speaks again!

Here are the big juicy informations:

"Teleporters will be upgradeable to level 3. As the teleporter is upgraded, the cooldown will decrease.

Dispensers will be upgradeable to level 3. They will heal faster and generate metal faster as they are upgraded.

Spies will be able to recharge their cloaking ability by picking up ammo off of the ground.

We've made a bunch of minor changes by adding particle systems and upgrading the HUD to show things like deaths by critical hits, players that are overhealed, and giving more information to medics when people are calling for them."

"The next class pack will be the Scout. One of the main goals we're focusing on for him has been to provide tools that make him useful in maps like Dustbowl & Goldrush."

All weapons in the game that fire bullet type ammunition can destroy sticky bombs now.

? There is no deathmatch mode in the game. It's all objective based play. Also, I don't think the game is too hard for new players. The style of the combat does take a while to get really good at, but you can just pick it up and play and still get a couple kills here and there and help your team out.

Give it another look. The game is truly a masterpiece.

Ironically, the Demoman is the only character who can't destroy stickies... I don't know about the Medic though.

I've actually started playing Spy again and enjoy Engineer more.

Screen cap from a game I just finished playing. Never would have gotten those scores without the update. Yeah, they're still not the most amazing, but I really feel more empowered. Like I don't have to wait long periods in between ventures. I feel more useful to the team.

Now if only they'd do something about the damn back stab animations.

As for Engineer, I feel I have more to do, rather than get a sentry up to level 3 and stand around.

Yeah now Spies can just venture farther into enemy territory and actually get a backstab for once... Prior to this update, Spies could not make it far enough and had to uncloak in ovious places where Pyros were always flaming randomly at.

I figured out THE perfect Spy disguise though.

Dress up as a Scout, stand in a corner and spam "Need a Dispenser Here." No one will suspect a thing...

I find myself having more fun playing TF2
I haven't played TF2 for months (with l4d & css zm)
but today & yesterday i played it again & damn .. i don't feel like playing l4d anymore

TF2 is much more fun, there's way more teamwork, 8 out of 10 people have and use their microphone, there aren't too much 12year olds in there

Anyway, i'm having more fun/teamwork in TF2 than in l4d & i think that's weird?

I'd say L4D takes more team work and I get more people with mics. Just me though. In L4D, if you're not organized, you're fucked. In TF2 a disorganized team can still win sometimes and you can be victorious without much communication. Plus going rambo has fewer consequences.

I've begun splitting my time between TF2 and L4D pretty evenly. I love both. <3
