Hey there, guys!
I've thought it would be a cool idea to make a list of the different zombie patterns in movies and videogames, so if someone wants to, say, see a movie with running zombies, they just have to check the list.
Ok, the dirty work is done. Keep in mind that this is just an early work and is severely lacking in different areas: some of the statements are merely educated guesses and some are very probably wrong.
If you have a couple seconds see if you can find any mistakes or add some new information ("not sure" means it's been a long time since I last saw the movie / played the game or I haven't done so yet). Also, feel free to contribute by posting new movies or games that you feel they deserve to be in the list! I intend to make this document a work of the community. Give it a shot, it could help us kill some time until L4D finally comes :)
Ready? Here's the document!

Thanks for your time and please don't flame me too much if I have some data wrong - just point it and I will update it several times a day!

I woould assume in Night of the "Living Dead" the zombies are undead, but I've never seen it so..

Cool, keep the comments coming! Versus is a movie I still don't know much about, but it looks like an instant classic: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0275773/

Doing this thing made me realize I know very little about zombies. Has anyone here seen The House of the Dead or both Resident Evil movies? I'm at a loss with that.

there is one intelligent zombie in DAY OF THE DEAD the one they call a name, he shaves and picks up phones and stuff....and in resident evil zombies don't really run unless ur thinkin about the mutated things with the long tounges.

Just so you know, the zombies in dead rising were the result of genetically modified wasps and they are vulnerable to bullets and fire. Also, in my oppinion, I would consider any zombie that can run to be intelligent. Simply because running takes alot of dexterity and cordination. Also the zombies in left 4 dead were caused by a new form of rabies. Anyways, good luck on the list.
L4D has no "Zombies" but "Infected". They are NOT dead/undead because they are still living people who just become badly enraged by the mutated rabies virus. They do NOT eat human flesh/brain.

What he said and L4D ones are intelligent, they move away from your line of fire so they don't get pwnt.

Resident evil 4 has different zombies than the rest of the series. They are actually parasites in the body and thus the "zombies" are intelligent and can run and communicate :)
And they are immune to brain destruction in a sense as you can blast the head off a zombie and the parasite will expose itself from the stump of the neck. (some of them can even bite your head off in one attack D:)

You should maybe add "genre" and "contagious" or something because some non-virus zombification is contagious too.
EDIT: and maybe cross species contamination as a column too?

zombie SHEEP!!!!!!!!
Holy... sheep! That has to be the coolest thing ever.
Thanks for all the input, I'll update the list tomorrow morning, and I will add those extra columns too.
nd u say fallen sattelite when does it say that.
Well, it's certainly the case in Night of the Living Dead (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063350/plotsummary), just watched it again a couple days ago. Although some say it's only speculation... I could point this too. Let me know your opinion.

Hmm, Im pretty sure at the end of Shaun of the Dead, You can here the TV news say It was a virus from experiments on apes. I am pretty sure thats what it says, I have to watch it again though.
Also, if your vulnerable to brain destruction, you are deffinitly vulnerable to bullets. Bullets will destroy a brain.
