Trailer from the PS3 Press Conference http://www.gametrailers.com/player/22402.html - Looks like those *ahem* are kind of angry at him. Looks like we'll be getting not-exactly-zombies-but-try-to-kill-you-like-zombi es-zombies... Perhaps those weren't the zombies though, but since when did a super elite agent with a machete on his back and big freaking pistol get pushed around by peasants.

The faces you get during these trailers are freaking hilarious if you get it frame by frame. How does Capcom do it?!

Resident Evil 4 was awesome :) i beat it like 4 times and got every thing un locked it was a blast to play :D

and i liked how they introduced the non - zombie,psychotic,taken over,monster,people gave the game a new experience n stuff

I hope RE 5 is just as good or better

To my knowledge they added in the ps2 features as well as a few extras.

I've only just started, but my RE4 OCD will probably force me to unlock every single thing, so I'll let you know when that happens what there is (Wii support is pretty damn good though, especially quick-knifing)

Yes, the only difference between Wii version against Gamecube/PS2 is.

Everything from both is in the Wii version, Graphics from Gamecube version is in the Wii version. (This is a good thing, as lighting, items, and water are much better on the gamecube.)

So they pretty much gave the best of both consoles, plus the controls for the Wii make it more fun and easier then the PC version! ( I am currently playing the WII version :) )

The game looks amazing and they havn`t even shown the `other creatures/zombies` yet - which are bound to be in the game judging by previous installments.
Wonder if we`ll get any giant spiders!??!
I thought RE4 was the best RE game so far, this looks 1000 times better!

Looks sick! Thanks for the video! I love the melee fighting - how he throws the guy back and punches him in the face haha. Can't wait to take on the skinnies! Looks like theres 3 times as many baddies on the screen as in RE4. I love RE!!! They need to get zombies back in there tho not just infected. Either way it's gonna be so good.

Girl at the end? Claire or Jill????

Yeah, the close combat stuff looks awesome, the animations are great it looks so fluid... Although it doesn't look like he survives very often...

I think during the middle of the actual gameplay he gets three way raped with zombies coming in 3 directions.

I liked how he shot the blade thing, looked like a sickle in mid-air... they make it look like a GOOD Resident Evil movie lol...

The game looks really fun, I hope they add in more levels just for the hell of it (extras) always been fond of zombies in a tight underground facility

I hope theres no HUD like in that video and that they werent just hiding it

Only part I didn't like... was he wearing green shoes? What the hell... noob.

The person at the end had to be Claire... because Jill is asian/black haired...

Looks like the zombies need headshots, either that or the game starts off killing normal people and then finally zombies, because one guy gets shot in the leg and either trips or dies, doesnt look like he was getting back up but the scene skipped before we could see. And one guy with a striped shirt got shot right in the heart and just jerked back and kept going.

I hope the awesomeness of RE5 doesn't slow down progress on DMC4 >.< It's kind of weird how game settings are starting to move to third world countries (MGS4, RE5)

Im looking forward to discovering the plot of RE5 as i play it.
I hope they don`t release much more now, my appetite has been whetted with some in game action, that`ll do me until its released.
Problem is I think its a 2009 release. Play.com has October this year , but I seriously doubt it. Mind you, no-one knows how ready the game is.
We could get lucky and have it sprung on us without warning - that would be cool !

Excuse me while I go back to twiddling my thumbs waiting for a L4D release date........

I think there might be, there's no laser point this time around so they might have a cursor... Either that or laser points simply don't work in that sunny condition.

Thumbs up to Capcom, really delivering on good titles.. Lost Planet was okay, the game was pretty good just the optimization was crap. RE5 will be awesom and DMC4 looks a lot better than it did a while back.

Edit: NVM there is a laser sight... cool.

It's kind of weird that Chris is getting is his ass kicked, and the next white guy is hanging upside down with his neck slit... Tough crowed.

On a side note - the "zombification" scene (Where someone was held down & forced to eat/drink something?) reminds me more of traditional Haiti "Zombie" rituals (basically voodoo type "magics" where a "witch-doctor put a "curse" on someone by using a poison, which resulted in a form of catatonia where the victim could move, but only carry out very simple tasks and had a blank vacant look....(hang on....has George W ever been to Haiti.....just a thought...).

The film "The Serpent & the Rainbow" is based on these sorts of rituals.

Man, Chris is going to be up there with Leon in the Hardcoreness.

I don't want Chris to be better than Leon - I want him to be just as good but with a diffrent style. I see Leon as more of a quick agile character while I see Chris as stronger/slower kind of character.

Too bad Chris is abnormally buff, he must not have a wide range of motion with triceps like those, and yes they're huge. It's why I comment on the triceps instead of the ordinary biceps. It kind of makes him seem like a childrens character, the hero must always be a freaking 'roid monkey for him to be cool. I thought that passed along with He-man and G.I Joe... once again im ill-fated to be proven wrong :(

I don't see why they couldn't have made him a LITTLE more normal like Leon, atleast that way it would make sense that a scrawny, probably starved African guy could smash his face into the ground and totally butt rape him if he wanted to.

I don't think there are too many RE characters that I don't like... All the main ones are great. Leon's my favorite by far. Brad V was a whimp but he was made to be so... and the Nemesis stuck his penis through his head anyway... What was that damn annoying kid in Code Veronica tho??? The kid with the golden lugers who shoots his zombified father??? (sorry for spoliers but w/e it's an old game). One of my favorite side characters... and I can't remember his name right now (someone help) but he was the crazy russian? guy in RE3 - the Umbrella Mercenary who blows himself up and the Nemesis. He was cool.

Anyone remember the scene in RE3 when the zombies come through the horizontal blinds on that gas station window... what a freaky video. Also the kids' bloody hand prints on the school bus was a nice touch. And let me ask you guys this: the first time u met the Licker in RE2 did you have the shotgun? or were u dumb like me and had already used up most of the ammo or you didn't pick it up at the shop?

and my favs are leon, jill, claire, well i think i like all of them including wesker.

In Re2 I normally did the Brad Vickers special key secret beginning run so I didn't even have a shotgun when i met the licker. But it was possible to glitch the licker in the corner and knife him to death.

You really think so? Chris never had any direct interaction with Sherry, but I guess Claire did. And Sherry wasn't infected with anything - because Claire curred herself and Sherry at the end of RE2 when you're in the lab. I'm thinking it might be Alexia Ashford.

Watched this a dozen times now, and I just noticed... the part where the two guys are holding down that one guy who's apparently turning into a zombie... is NOT the same guy that who attacks Chris less than a second later. It's pretty damn obvious because his shirt is missing, but I didn't notice until just watching it again now. Very fluid, but I guess they DO have professionals doing that.

Edit: Didn't want to make a new topic for this... but RE: Extinction looks bad. I mean REALLY bad, worse than I thought it would be after watching RE2... w/e the title was. I don't see how zombie outbreak=Las Vegas covered in sand. Perhaps it was a mass effort by the zombie king to steal all the sand in the world and hide it in sin city. More than that... Zombies in the day in a huge open desert= NOT scary. I loved the atmosphere in the first RE movie because it was a dark, confined area... very intense. But now... :(

Also, is this even new... I swear I saw it months ago... Unless they added in like 2 extra scenes I didn't notice. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/22842.html Because it's says its new on the site.. and there is supposed to be new clips and trailers coming in from SDCC.

Yeah, that is an old trailer.
I wish the RE films stayed more faithful to the games. The first one was the closest to any of the games, not perfect - could have been alot better, but then it just went downhill.
And the new one looks ridiculous! They`ve competely gone off on a tangent now and forgotten the games completely...

For some reason R5 doesnt really seem "Attractive". I dont know, just the whole thing.. I watch the trailer over and over and over again, but it just doesnt make me happy. And I dont think that there are zombies in R5 anymore since they all act just like an angry mob with pitch forks and such.... Oh well, till the game comes out I guess...
