Testmode for mic? i wanna hear myself...

just bought a microphone to use in L4D, but i cant seem to find anything that lets you adjust the settings in-game, and thus have to adjust what i think will be fine in windows vista.

But, other then asking the other players, is there a function that lets you hear yourself and adjust your setting accordingly?

try voice_loop 1 in console

In the game, under options, under multiplayer, go to voice or something. I dont remember exactly, but its under multiplayer options somwehere.

Control Panel > Sound and Audio Devices.

You can record and play yourself back to... yourself.

In-game how well they hear you will also depend on there speakers, headset, ping to you etc etc
