ok, i have been recently overwhelmed in versus by the massive amount of exploits in L4D, especially in no mercy. i just want to make a thread listing the most recent exploits.

in the elevator level of no mercy, the infected can block the door to exit the elevator at the top. they claw at some piece of machinery and the survivors are stuck in the elevator, until the infected decide to free them.
if the ssurvivors get past that, the infected can also block other numerous passages, by pushing a forklift by it.

in the crecendo with the lift in No Mercy, the metal door thingie by the trailers can be meleed open after enough hits. this is used to completely evade the cresendo.

this is all the new ones i can find so far. anybody else come across any?

Well, the first one ,where they block the elevator, is fixed on pc..

The survivors can either push it back or just wait it out, one side will eventually give up and its game over.

Requires ALOT of time spent doing this when one can be attacking the survivors.

So instead of just riding up, getting ammo/possibly health, you're telling me people would rather wack a door for 20 minutes fending off a bunch of special infected and interval hordes...right.

These aren't exploits, they are wastes of time. None are game breaking and numbers 1&2 are just easy to get out of and 3 is just stupid.

wack a door for 20 minutes
it actually takes about 20 seconds, if all 4 survivors hit it. the special infected can be easily evaded in the process

When I read this I went and tried by myself, doesn't even take a minute for one person to knock that door down, so 3 people could easily defend a single melee'r for long enough to break it down.

Actually it's a shorter walk from the now broken door to the 'after-crescendo' ammo/health than it is from the lift to the aforementioned ammo/health. I'm not condoning it but it's got no down side and needs fixed.

Yeah, bashing the door in is really easy and quick, especially with all 4 guys going at it.

Skippable crescendos: (that I know of)
No Mercy, as has just been mentioned

Dead Air with the crane, climb on the fence to jump right onto the building you have to get on

Dead Air, at the construction site. You can jump on some piece of decoration on the wall from the railing and onto the barrier, bypassing it

Death Toll with the forklift, using the gatling gun glitch or jumping onto the roadblock thingy behind the forklift (hard to explain, better watch a video)

Then of course there are locations where the infected just can't get to in the finales (besides Blood Harvest, as far as I know), like under the ramp in No Mercy, the rock to the right of the pier in Death Toll, propelling yourself up onto some plane using the gatling gun glitch in Dead Air

I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them at the moment

EDIT: I know some have been posted on the news site, but oh well Xp

Havoc he was making a list he did not make these up or even suggest we use these glitches.

Blood harvest-You can walk along the edge of the house to the chimney and hide on the outer most edge and you will survive there.

No mercy finale- you can climb on the edge on top of where the radio is, or you can ramp camp

For the machinery by the elevator one you can push the thing out of the way.

um not much as an exploit but a safety precaution, put a propane tank about 10 feet away for a ledge on the construction level in NM4 . if a horde comes you could shot the tank and kill them and the knock back will blow and surving infected off the side of the building. this is also a good way to instantly kill a tank, after shooting the propane tank the tank will be disoriented and wall of the edge of the hospital
