How did you phrase the question? 'you can choose who you play as' might mean you get to choose between survivors or infected, not individual survivor character.

I think being able to choose your character will be cool, because my favourite player model (Francis) seems to be not very popular, so I can use that one alot. :)

guy characters are not the best in my opinion but if i did have to play as a guy francis would be my 2nd but not for sure. i would most like just keep staring at zoey and risk my characters life for hers so.i dunno its something about guy characters that kreep me out big time....

being a guy character is weird to me in every way possible never have i ever been a guy character. and if i have i would quit. thats why all my games i have all have female characters so i can choose.

Zoey, I apologize because I realize theres some hostility coming towards you here but you have to understand many forum members here take the policy of bullshit until proven... it isn't uncommon for people in this world to fabricate something for attention or just as a bad joke (I'm not saying this is what you're doing at all). As a newer member I don't think you've built enough of a reputation with the others and Email's are the easiest source of fake information. Most here are going to be skeptical of any Email.

I believe the issue is that we would like to see the Email that you sent to Mike in addition to his response, because that helps us understand his answers exactly (I know that I would certainly appreciate this).

Fortunately 411 does know quite a bit more and we try our best to let you all in on it. We certainly appreciate your help with this, as it is new info.

L4D zoey, I have to direct you to the preview that squerl and I did after our 12 hour play test at Valve. It's a bit of a long read but it covers a lot of questions that you may have. The two of us spent a lot of time writing it so that we could save you the time of asking.
