Things you should know before playing Left 4 Dead

I just played a game about 5 minutes ago that was full of idiots. Here are things you should know before playing Left 4 Dead:

1. Some people take longer to connect than others, so don't leave the spawn room as fast as you possibly can. All it does is make the person that JUST connected look like an idiot for still being in the spawn room and getting pounced/smokered/vomited on

2. A player isn't an idiot because he ran for the saferoom while his team was downed, vomited on, and a hunter was around the corner waiting for him to come out.

3. Don't get mad at the tank for dying quickly, be mad at yourself for sitting back expecting the tank to do everything for you.

4. When the survivors are going fast, SPAWN AHEAD OF THEM.

As you can guess, I had quite a frustrating game not to long ago. My teammates left the spawn room before I could connect, got mad at me when I ran to the safe room while they were being anal raped by all the boss infected, and called me a (quote) "Buttnick" after I had not healed before closing the door.

Oh yeah, and

5. When it's your first time playing, and you're the only one with a mic... don't think you're suddenly the fucking leader.

7.) dont leave after the other team wins a round. i hate when one team is up by like 2k points and then on the 4th map my team finally just rapes ass all 4 survivors near 100% health huge points gets the game pretty close and the other team rage quits. WTF its still anybodies game!

No, but you should stay with your team and try and help them out. It's a co-op game and you get rewarded for sticking together.

Frequently I play with guys who run away to the safe room as soon as the tank comes. What usually happens is they get pounced by a hunter while me and the rest of the team kill the tank and all make it alive.

I'm not saying that you should NEVER run to the safe room, but you definitely shouldn't do it as often as I see people doing it.

for the rest, running for the safe room as 'last resort', or whatever you call that, is fine
I do it, heck i do it alot, if i feel like it i'l just rush for the safe room and call my teammates slow

I rarely do it. But..
My teammates were downed, the car alarm was going off, I heard a hunter at the top of the steps, and I knew I was gonna die if I went back. So, i simply closed the door to the saferoom.
