This is not a thread starting a console war or saying which one is better, it is just observations.
So, being an avid computer gamer and playing this game since the first day the demo was released, I have gotten used to the controls on the computer making playing this game second nature.
Last night I was at a friends and we played this game on 360. I must say, this game feels totally different on the console. Besides the graphics being lower on the split screen and "non-important" objects vanishing at a distance, the game just feels harder using the controller.
Survivors: Aiming is as it normally is on a controller, but it makes this game slightly harder due to the run speed of the infected. Also, you are unable to fire the pistols as fast as you can on the computer. I think this is due to the amount you can push in the right trigger on the controller. When scoping in with the hunting rifle, it slows down your aim speed, probably due to the fact that you are using a joystick to aim.
Infected: The only difficulties I had as infected was really the hunter. Landing the far jumps from the No Mercy roofs to make 25 dmg pounces are very hard to land using the joysticks. Also, the wall pouncing is difficult due to the turn speed, unless you use the 180-degree-turn button, but still. Also, when hitting survivors your dont get that "ting" noise to signify a hit.
Infected do seem to have an advantage in versus, due to the fact that aiming on the 360 isn't as quick as using a mouse. Overall though, I just had more trouble playing it on the 360, probably due to me being used to a keyboard and mouse, but it is still the same awesome game.
Have any 360 players tried the computer version; thoughts?
