This is not a thread starting a console war or saying which one is better, it is just observations.

So, being an avid computer gamer and playing this game since the first day the demo was released, I have gotten used to the controls on the computer making playing this game second nature.

Last night I was at a friends and we played this game on 360. I must say, this game feels totally different on the console. Besides the graphics being lower on the split screen and "non-important" objects vanishing at a distance, the game just feels harder using the controller.

Survivors: Aiming is as it normally is on a controller, but it makes this game slightly harder due to the run speed of the infected. Also, you are unable to fire the pistols as fast as you can on the computer. I think this is due to the amount you can push in the right trigger on the controller. When scoping in with the hunting rifle, it slows down your aim speed, probably due to the fact that you are using a joystick to aim.

Infected: The only difficulties I had as infected was really the hunter. Landing the far jumps from the No Mercy roofs to make 25 dmg pounces are very hard to land using the joysticks. Also, the wall pouncing is difficult due to the turn speed, unless you use the 180-degree-turn button, but still. Also, when hitting survivors your dont get that "ting" noise to signify a hit.

Infected do seem to have an advantage in versus, due to the fact that aiming on the 360 isn't as quick as using a mouse. Overall though, I just had more trouble playing it on the 360, probably due to me being used to a keyboard and mouse, but it is still the same awesome game.

Have any 360 players tried the computer version; thoughts?

I noticed that there was a graphics downgrade, I felt slightly more comfortable on the controller, although on PC its a lot easier to turn and aim. Yes pistols fire slower, but that is just due to the R button on the 360 controller. Also, it seems the infected seem to move a lot smoothly on the PC. 360 has the advantage of 180 degree turn which helps pick up on wall jumping a little quicker.

But all in all, its just a matter of playing preference. Mouse and keyboard is quite addicting and I prefer it, but thats just me.

The graphics are A LOT better on the pc than they are on the 360. I actually like the 360 controls more though, because I'm more of a console than a pc gamer. The two things I really don't like in the 360 though, are the sudden disappearance of things in the distance on split screen, and the lack of my body when I look down. I absolutely love the 180 quick turn though.

this is due to the amount you can push in the right trigger on the controller

1. slowly pull down the right trigger and you'll notice the gun only shoots when the trigger is halfway down. So to shoot fast Pull halfway, let up on the trigger alittle after shot then pull down again just enough to shoot again though, and repeat and you will be shooting as fast if not faster than a pc.
2. Your a pc gamer as you stated
3.Landing the far jumps from the No Mercy roofs to make 25 dmg pounces are very hard to land using the joysticks. Also, the wall pouncing is difficult due to the turn speed, unless you use the 180-degree-turn button

What you do is you set your Controller senseitivities to max and you can be just as fast as a pc gamer

I pull off several pounces on the roof tops for 25 dmg

I understand that you play the pc version therfore it was difficult for you to understand stratigies that most of us console gamers use to be as fast as you pc gamers.

When useing a sniper we usually pre aim the sniper reticle In other words whe aim the dot in the middle at a guys face then zoom in and make minor calculations then shoot.

We allways play console games so we can move in a console game with ease and comfort. We understand movements and flow well the Joy stick (it is an extension of our finger as one odd asian guy said)

I have a problem with pc games. I dont get why there is an up, down, left, right, and no joystick it is clunky and it makes no sence to me. But you understand because you play it.

With the shooting, I was trying to see if it was the slightest tap or if I had to pull it all the way down, but i didn't spend too much time on it.

It's I guess I also feel like the mouse is more precise than a joystick. It's what I'm used to really.

You can see your legs in PC version but not in Xbox 360 version.

PC rules! 360 sucks! lol jk jk glad pc has the full package as thats the one i got =p

ive played FPS shooters on both and started on the PC back in like the old CS days so yea i prefer PC over 360 cuz im used to aiming with the mouse better. but that instant 180 is nice on the 360. my nephew got the game on 360 for xmas and been wanting to see how different it is. =o ill probably enjoy as much.

For my comp, I had a graphics UPGRADE playing the 360. It is noticeably easier to aim, but really I didn't notice any other difference. It's the same as any other FPS for computer and console, the main difference is aiming mouse vs. joystick.
