The only solution to this problem is to have a team of pro halo2 xbox 360 players vs a pro team of halo 2 pc users. but, the 360 players have to turn off there lame autoaim.

Personally im a PC gamer, i cant stand playing FPS on consoles i feel like a noob because i cant pull of a decent headshot in the middle of a fire fight, but with a mouse its so much easier. i get my but wooped when playing my friend on his console, but i woop his but on the PC, and he uses a controler for his PC.

I have a big feeling that 360 L4D ur gunna see ALOT of FF demerits.

Stop it with the wars already. Only thing coming out of this is a flamewar. Haven't it been said enough, that some people prefer this and some that? So what's the better one... Whatever you are used to! It's not like one of us invented those systems, so don't be a tool.

That would prove nothing because the outcome would be based almost entirely on the skill of the players with their chosen control method, not the overall effectiveness of either control method.

It's impossible to say "analogue controller wins" or "keyboard/mouse wins" because they both win for different reasons and under different circumstances. Even if you were to calculate the total number of situations in which the control methods would each win/lose/draw and compare them, a true winner would be impossible to determine because at least half of the results would be based 100% personal opinion or preference.

fps games ? KB&mouse
rts ? KB&mouse
MM/anything KB&mouse

tomb raider style... analogue keypad
tekken style fighters .... analogue keypad

driving...Wheel

different control systems are better for different styles of game... lets face it who could do guitar hero with a mouse and keyboard ?

you cant blame developers for pushing the console version first really. piracy is less prevalent and you have less configuration issues too.

<i know its blatent flamebait but>
however you cant use halo of any of its little goblins for comparison to anything, its overhyped simplistic rubbish.

i would have to agree, i just cant see how halo is the "best console game ever". Sure i found the first game in the series to be exciting and different, but halo 2 was exactly the same and halo 3 is just a unreal tournament 3 copy. My personal preference for console is GoW. 3rd person shooters excel on a console, because the controls feel a lot better. Assassins Creed is going to be another one for the record books, its a 3rd person (always a good sign) and as its under development by Ubisoft, it has "console" written all over it.

Halo was the first game to have guns.

The only distinct advantage of the controller is that you can play while relaxing in your sofa.

psh you can play it with a controller (i only have one guitar so my friend uses the controller, we play on hard) so i dont see why you couldnt use a keyboard, just a lot of button pressing haha :P

im no goblin!

i agree with irelentless though, they win for different reasons and under different circumstances

XD

There is this game; it's called Frets on Fire and is ment to be played with the keyboard, like the above picture. It's the same gameplay as Guitar Hero.

I've always been adamant about the M&K controls, especially with fps games like CS.S.
But as of late...Im kind of on the fence now. I just picked up some classic shooters for my Ps2 and Xbox, namely HL and HL2 as well as SW Battlefront 2 and i must say that if the controls are assigned right, the "Controller" can compete well against the M&K.

Besides, all those Halo deathmatches over the last 4 years against my buds, a controller has never hindered my Royally Ass Rapage skillz :)

pc control and reaction time is so much higher than console reaction and control. It's what makes 360 vs Vista PC such a bad idea.

I bet the Hunter's wall jump action can be better played with a controller.
