Hey guys, first post here!

Great forum you got here but I couldn't find a single thread for general funny stories about some of the stupid shit you see other players do, or if you're feeling brave what you're willing to admit you did yourself.

I'll kick off with one of mine:

Playing NM Finale as infected and the Survivors were using the ramp exploit. Luckily I was in a good team and kept up the boomer and hunter assault. After a while I was gettign a bit confused why no Tanks had turned up yet. It turned out the Survivors had been hiding under the ramp without even answering the radio. 10 minutes later they worked out what they hadn't done and we bent them over the second they emerged.

This was a tard move I did on No Mercy 2. My team was crippled, all four of us were in the red and all my team mates had just gotten boomed on. I knew a Hunter or two was on the way and a massive group of infected was swarming them so I chunked a pipe bomb through a door way. I was relieved as my team started regrouping and the sounds of regular infected slowly lessened... until I heard crying come from the doorway. Sure enough, pipe bomb bursts, Witch comes tearing around the corner as my team is dealing with the Hunters.

Another time on the Hospital, there had been a person on my team who rarely helped me and didn't have a mic. Naturally I was pissed at them and looking for a chance to screw them, and thought I had it when they pissed off a witch (seems I have lots of witch moments). Well they went running down a hallway cause they had decent distance from her, maybe she got caught on something. Not knowing this would happen, I was like "f*** you buddy" and threw a molotov at him right as she was catching up... the fire hit her and she instantly did a 180, running back to me. I tried to run up the stairs and jump over the rail to trick her but she caught me in the jump and I fell all the way to the bottom floor incapped. I was too far away so my team left me down there to rot. At least she burned to death.

Seen someone toss a molotov immediately after the entire team getting splashed with a boomer explosion. Problem was of course, that he tossed it directly at the largest concentration of infected, which was namely immediately around all of the survivors.

We were all low on health and were incapped pretty much immediately. Zombies 0, Survivors -4.

The most stupid move i made was yesterday: I played with a friend and two other random guys Versus. The other team was better than we, so we had it hard. On NM 4th Level, at the roof part, the tank appeared. After i heared him coming, i used the propan tank to let him fall down the roof (you know, there are topics). We moved on to this little "room" after the corridor. (So we had 2 open spaces to fall behind us.) And there was a boomer in the corner. We all had to deal with many infected, and i shot the boomer by accident. We stumbled to the edge and felt.

BTW: is there a way to go spectator in versus? I mean a way to get spectator BEFORE the game really starts.

NM4 - open building, we were close together and a boomer emerges from a corner so we all dodge to the edge. Trigger happy blows the boomer up. 4 survivors dangling.

Got another one: Mistimed a hunter pounce on NM5 finale on the roof and got mele'd off one of the survivors. Luckily he didn't manage to kill me but I was so turned around I did a huge-ass mega leap right off the skyscraper.

Kinda forgot I wasn't spiderman for a second there...

Was playing the finale of BH and heard a witch crying. The team was in perfect shape (on expert :D). So here I am, overlooking the first part of the cornfields with an m16. I jump down and start crouch walking, hugging the right side. Crying gets louder. I literally step on the witch and run like hell backwards against the wall. Didn't startle her but it's probably the most scary/facepalm moment I've had lol

I have done that many times on versus. If your stuck by a horde of zombies, burn your feet and then you can run through the burning zombies as if they didn't exist. Yes you take a little dmg, but all you have to do is run quick.

We were playing on expert with one bot and three people on Death Toll. One human player was dead and me and my human teammate were in pretty bad shape (in the red) with no meds at all. The bot had 50 health as we had rescued him from a closet. We came across a medicine cabinet and there were two pill bottles in it. I grabbed one and the bot grabbed the other. I took my pills thinking the bot would hand the other pills to the guy who was dying. Well, he took the pills, with 50 health, leaving the human player with the same shit health he had before. This is the only time I've seen something like this happen, but we proceeded on with the map only to get assraped for about the 10th time. Thanks, Louis.

Playing VS., the guy who ended up being tank decided not to move or do anything because he was a shitty player who messed up all night. We had given him shit about his lack of skill earlier, even though we advised him on what to do he decided to keep fucking up anyways.

So anyways, he got the tank, he stood around doing nothing and typed "Sorry guys im a shitty player so I just wont do anything. Im just gonna screw up. Im dont deserve tank :(". So he just stood there taking auto shottys to the face. We kicked him, even though hes on our "clan".

Dead Air finale. None of us knew each other, but two of the other players were pretty good and we worked together. The other one had CounterStrike ADD and jumpiness and was pretty much an ass.

The three of us decided to defend around the oil truck because one of them needed some more kills for his Red Mist achievement. But of course CS_hero wouldn't hear of that. He had this wonderful exploit, see, whack the minigun and launch yourself onto the top of the plane and "no one can get you!"

Like, duh. If I wanted a game like that, I'd just turn on god mode, or even better, type AI_disabled in the console during the zombie rushes and then wander around headshotting them all.

So, we are doing fine around the truck and Hero is running around on the left wing of the plane. Tank comes. We have him well in hand but he's throwing rocks like crazy and somehow Tankie manages to put a rock or fragment into the guy on the airplane and knock him to the wingtip nearest the minigun. So, he's hanging there, above the fiery pit, screaming "I NEED SOME HELP SOMEONE HELP ME" and we were just, er, wait a bit while we deal with these zombies and try not to land in the fire if you drop.....

He fell off eventually, and quit. The rest of us got out OK.

I was playing with some noobs, I enjoy the challenge. It was on advanced, and there was one of said noobs playing with a molotov. I handed him pills and told him, left click. By the time I had typed this message, he had the molotov back out. Without a moments hesitation, he LEFT CLICKS WITH THE MOLOTOV EQUIPPED. Let it be known that at that point I got the dead giveaway achievement. Sort out what happened next. RAGE QUIT

I played with a guy last night on NM finale who got lucky and happened to be the only survivor not down. So in the middle of all of us, during a break in the hordes, he decides that reviving us will take "too long and make him risk dying" when he is in the FUGGIN GREEN!!!

So right there, in front of everyone that was down, he heals.
With a medkit.

Then, after we explain to him how to revive someone, he revives me first and then I revived zoey as he revived bill. (Other two ragequitted due to his incompetence).

Then, when we finally get a chance, I ask him "When the hell did you get this game, because I wanna be the first to say that you suck nuts!"
He answers, completely honesty, that he had bought the game 30 minutes ago.

Most facepalming thing ive done on L4D was on NM1, a hunter on versus. i was waiting up on the roof tops waiting for the survivors to leave the door, i pounced and missed by a split second and as i attempted to pounce again a bot shot me to shit.

Most falmpalming...oh fuck off you get the idea. That ive seen another person do is on Blood harvest on versus, our tank spawns and he runs into a fucking wall of fire the survivors made 5 seconds ago, and when we asked him wtf he done that for, he said "Because i do more dps when on fire"

He hit one person once...didn't even kill/incap them and he died within 10 seconds -_-

was playing dead air finale with 2 friends and a bot. we manage to kill the 2nd tank and the airplane opens. the bot is incap and my friend decides to revive him. didnt have a mic at the time so i couldnt tell him to just leave him as he would take forever. we all make it to the airplane except the bot as hes taking his sweet time. tank throws rock at my friend that revived the bot and incaps lol. i try to revive him back but the bot gets incap and ends the level haha. and so he doesnt get credit for beating it on expert. he learned not to revive bots in finales from now on =D in fact, we TK them as the rescue arrives =p

I've seen an entire team jump off the roof, incapping themselves and losing the level instantly after a smoker got a guy incapped. Unfortunately it was my team and I was incapped by the Smoker.

As long as he kills you inside the safe room this is actually a very good strategy (in campaign) if your teammates have been incapped and are bleeding out. They'll respawn with 50 health when the next level starts.

I've had enough sudden horde rushes and smokers pulling the lone person to their death to know this doesn't always work out though.

Joined a game as Zoey with 30ish health (yellow), no First Aid and no Pills. All my teammates had green (70+ about) and a FAK each. This was on NM1, right after leaving the apartment. Francis found a FAK in the corner behind the white van.

I heard his character (of course they didn't talk!) yell "First Aid Here", so I ran towards it. After I picked it up, I realized that HE was healing (with 70+ health?) and preparing to pick it up after. Once he saw that I picked it up, he stopped healing and proceeded to teamkill me. Then started a vote to kick, and the three of them ended up kicking me...

Also, I was playing on Goldkills server against him... he spawned 3 witches in 1 area I had to pass. I threw a molotov, lit them up, and killed them all and survived.... It was pretty shocking.

Dead Air finale.

Three of us are getting ready to defend up by the plane fuselage on the opposite side of the plane from the tanker and minigun. One guy, genius, just has to show us how you can jump on top of the plane using the minigun glitch. We tell him we're not interested, but whatever, he's not listening.

So he charges and charges the gun, jumps on and.... rockets right across the map to where we are standing, past the plane, and goes SPLAT! on the wrecked fuselage behind us. Dead.

Since we haven't started yet, he comes back in the closet on the opposite side of the map. We did have some serious thoughts about whether we should get him out....

We all run back to our positions. He's lagging behind, so we ask him to trigger the radio. He does, and then.... goes back to whacking the minigun. With exactly the same result..... WHIZZ SPLAT! he's dead, exactly the same place, and out for good this time, since the finale had started.

But, to our considerable gratitude, he'd remembered to carry a fully loaded AR and a health pack each time. So these stayed on the ground at our position, and they proved very useful.

I wonder if one could use this to designate a player as "suicide transporter" and dump a pile of guns, medkits, and bombs out where you wanted them, perhaps by TKing him repeatedly before the finale is triggered?

Was playing NM3 in versus with 1 more guy and 2 bots. Started the lift crescendo, made way over the roof, killed the smoker who thought he could pull me down and hurried into the storage room.

Got attacked by swarms of infected and after a while a hunter managed to pin me. The bots did a classical "run up to me and stare while the hunter beats the shit out of me" until they eventually decided to melee him off.

One of them start helping me up, when I notice that the other human player for some unknown reason has run back across the roof instead of following us through the big window. I see on his silhuette that another hunter pounces him and the bots drop me when I'm halfways up and both rush towards him instead.

Both bots simultaneously jump out of the window and incapping themselves from the fall damage.

i was on NM5, in versus, and the server had low gravity.

they had radioed the chopper, and my only other infected teammate was afk.

i got Tank, and proceeded to knock 3 of the survivors off the roof in one swing. (they desperately tried to change the grav back to normal as they flew)

the last one hit me with a molotov as the chopper arrived, and instead of running up the ramp to the chopper, they ran UNDER the heli ramp. they thought they could get to the inside, but as they passed me on the way in, i swung through the wall and knocked them down, and zombies flooded under the ramp and killed her.

I as tank almost smacked a survivor off the roof of the no mercy finale. Then at the last second, a smoker grabbed him in mid air and held him over the abyss. Instead of saving his merry ass or killing I, they decide to heal and take ammo. He is still holding onto the edge, still being smoked, I still lobbing rocks at them, and one of them gets on the chain gun and starts killing the maybe fifteen infected running towards them. The smoker actually asks me, "What the fuck is going on?" The survivor dies, and and yet I get credit for the kill, because when I ass ape the remaining survivors, I get all for dead. They ask me, what happened to bill?

Yesterday we played NM5 with 3 survivors + 1 bot. All of a sudden the bot is dead and I see one of the guys who started on infected team "switch to infected".

So I call out the cheater in the chat, and tell him in a civilized way how awesome and clever I think cheaters are.

In 10 vs 10 on Hard Rain, I was playing on the team that was just tearing shit up. At the end of Mill Escape it looked as if we weren't going to make it. It was just me and some other guy and I was around 50 health and he was at 20. Along with a horde of common infected there were two hunters, a boomer, and a charger behind us. We were right in front of the safehouse door, and I opened it then went in. I turned around and saw a lot of common infected, so not wanting to take any risks, I closed the door. Then all these other special infected came around and made him squeal like a pig.

There was 3 of us playing vs with split screen system link (me on my own against the other 2) As they were waiting for the raft and the hordes were attacking I became a charger - charged at them all (including the NPCs stupidly sticking together by the river edge waiting) knocked my 2 mates into the river killing them instantly and one of the NPCs winning the game on my own (EPIC WIN!) I was really chuffed and my 2 mates were both in shock at what had just happened.
Then it was their turn to play as the infected and I got to the same part of the level, looking for more supplies i climbed up the ladder opposite where the raft lands and as I went to climb in the window one of my 2 opponants was the charger and burst out of the window picking me up, running off the roof and straight into the swamp (probably taking an NPC or 2 with him as well. FACEPALM! fallen for my own trick. a FAIL on EPIC proportions.
